Quite impressive writing in this one! A large variety of different events to encounter as a player. It definitely stays interesting for a while.
On the gameplay side, I think there are a few things that can be improved. If you happen into an unlucky loadout, the combat is pretty flat with only the option to attack. On my first playthrough, all I had was an apron before being ambushed by a wizard who kept dodging my attacks and out-damaging me. My successive attempts were much better by ways of having more equipment. Though, I'd frequently have the option of picking up a new equippable and replacing one I already had. It was hard to judge these decisions as I didn't know what the new thing would do until I accepted the option to take it, it replaced my old gear, and I opened my inventory to look at its effects. I would suggest letting the player read the effects of the item before they make the decision to replace what they already have. I think that'd really improve the decision making!
Thanks for the great feedback! We definitely prioritised getting a good amount of content in the game, so that the exploration felt better and multiple runs weren't too stale. When we get time over the weekend we're gonna polish the balancing and add in some of the features people have kindly suggested. Thank you for playing!
I felt like most of the choices I made had no impact - and I loved it? Going from leather armour to crop top was the best decision I could've made in any game.
Loved the dialogue and use of the map in this!
So many slippery snakes!
It is great. Nice use of assets and plenty of depth to it. Grand job
Fun RPG! The numerous pathways works well with the theme, and I like the random encounters and events you can find as you progress through the game! I think the assassins are pretty OP, I usually got into a stalemate fighting them, but the other encounters were quirky and fun! Definitely a great idea that could be expanded into a bigger game, nice job!
Fun to play :D
I find the movements of the character's attacks and abilities really satisfying ! <3
Great job !
Hello! I liked the stories! there is a lot of replayability.
The only thing I didn't like was the font. The font made the text hard to read at times.
It's a great game though!
Incredible game for the timespan, very cute visuals and animations and a decent amount of mechanics, well done!
This kind of game requires a massive amount of job, so congratulations for giving it a try. I am not sure if it has some strategy when choosing which node of the map to visit, it is very early concept.
This seems like a huge amount of work, kudos to you! Even just writing dialogues and description for everything must've taken a long time. Game is fun, polished, there's attention to details. Good work!
Really interesting idea - loved the humour! I would have liked to know what the equipment did before deciding whether to swap it out though. Also the assassin was SO much tougher than everything else I ran into beforehand! I ended up at the giant with only 3 hp!
Great submission. I think that it could benefit from seeing what an item does before you pick it up.
Awesome game! I can see that a lot of effort went into crafting the dialogues... Loved it!
