I really did not like the controls personally but I understand that's probably a core component of the game so I won't hold that against you. Aside from the me-issue, I think you did a great job!
Thank you for playing it!
This was a lot of fun and difficult. Great work.
I'll definitely need to play more of this, it always takes me a while to get used to these kind of control schemes. But you did a good job on it!
Thank you for playing it! Sorry I missed the stream, timezones and all that...
Were you playing on a trackpad? I hadn't considered that and I should mention that in the description...
No trackpad just a classic mouse, I was just being an idiot with holding down the aiming. Not your fault at all 😄
I enjoyed the ending, and tanks in general.
Slapping a crab model onto a tank is a little campy but i guess it worked well for this.
I would have liked the mouse sensitivity to be much lower for looking around (or adjustable) and much faster to have the turret catch up to the mouse, but maybe that is just fine. I kinda wish i could right click a target to have the turret auto-aim continuously at it.
I like the tread controls, but they were too boaty/floaty. I really wish they were more instantly reactive. or if they started slowly, at least have them stop quickly.
It took me a few tries to get through, and eventually I figured out my best bet was to just floor it, and try to get there before too many tanks spawned, instead of trying to fight each one. (they are super accurate)
I would love to see a multiplayer game with these tanks, or even combine them with some mech stuff if you have things left over from the Mech Jam.
Thank you for playing!
It's true, I did just slap a crab model onto a tank model...
Aiming system was really unique and fun to get used to, actual tank controls were a nice touch too. Kudos!
NOTE: Game was updated on 4/6:
The controls took a bit to get used to, but I really liked it. Having to move your treads independently is a great idea, as well as having sections get damaged separately. I also thought the lighthouse blasting off like a missile was a fun way to end the level. Great job!
I didn't know where to go to finish the level, and it was very hard to get used to the controls.
What I liked: the aiming part! I liked just aiming my turret at targets and trying to hit them
