Welcome to the July 2024 Pattern Jam! This casual is designed for friends and industry colleagues to come together and develop exciting and innovative games over the course of a 2 week period. Whether you're a seasoned developer or just getting started, this jam is all about having fun, experimenting with new ideas, and collaborating with others.

- Voting End: 07/26/2024 Midnight
- Location: I will be hosting a starting session to reveal the theme on Discord.
Basic Rules:
- Original Work
All content must be created during the jam. No pre-existing work is allowed except for tooling and engine work. No pre-existing work should be part of the core game play loop. I ask that you simply use your better judgment on this one. - Legal
Only use tools and assets that you have legal rights to. Please give the correct attributes/credits in game, on the itch.io page, or both. - Team Spirit
Collaboration and teamwork are encouraged. Feel free to form teams or work solo. - Respect and Inclusivity
Treat all participants with respect. This is a friendly and inclusive event for everyone. - Have Fun
The primary goal is to enjoy the creative process and share your passion for game development.
How It Works:
- Theme Announcement: The theme will be announced at the start of the jam. All games should be inspired by this theme.
- Restriction Announcement: The restrictions will be announced at the start of the jam. All games should try their best to adhere and spin ideas off the restrictions.
- Showcase: After submissions, we'll have a showcase where everyone can play and appreciate each other's games. There will be a voting period for fun categories like "Best Engineering," "Best Art," and "Best Overall Game."
