I enjoyed the story and my first playthrough well enough. The simple story and illustrations pair together well. My second attempt's choices were met with unintended consequences. I didn't understand why the same choice would have two completely different results. It seemed like there is some random element, possibly derived from my stats or the order of events, but the harshness of the penalty turned me off a bit. Too arbitrary. I suppose I wanted that mechanic spelled out for me more. I still went back and played again for another ending, but I couldn't replicate the situation.

Thanks for your feedback! Do you remember your choice and what the unintended consequence was, and what you'd had expected instead? It could help me to figure out if it is a bug or if it is an intentional part which needs a better explanation.  There are some outcomes which also depend on decisions or events which happen earlier in the game. But of course I don't want to create a bad experience where you don't understand why something happened.

Beautiful art and design, and fun trying to find the different outcomes!

Love the art style, and the concept is really cool.

Can't wait to see what else you come up with!

I really loved your game! I replayed it around ~10 times, so the replayability value for me is excellent. I kept on wanting to see if there was a good end and a bad end for each stat.

[SPOILER]

First: I died hungry and alone, even though I used my physical might to "escape" the alchemist. That was a bummer. Second: I died of old age, happy, after sparing the mice who fell in love with each other. The Baron mice were frikken adorable. I liked the fact that it was actually possible to escape the alchemist's place. Third: I died of poisoning, after using my charm to convince the alchemist to spare me. There were a lot of spelling mistakes, so I guessed this must have been where you were rushing. No biggie, though. Also, that alchemist has problems. Four: I used magic to battle the alchemist and died with her. I actually laughed aloud, it was kind of unexpected.

I won't bore you with the contents of the other runs, either because they were the same or unfruitful. What I gathered is that someone close to the alchemist (wife?) died and that sacrificing a (consenting?) living being  is the key to bring her back. I found it interesting that the only way I found to escape successfully involved sparing the mice. Only with the help of others did we escape.

I would have liked to see if the potion succeeded in the bad ends, where we died! But other than that, an excellent game. The graphics were wonderful, and all-in-all, top marks.

Thanks a lot for your extended feedback. That was very interesting to read :) And I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Also thanks for pointing out the spelling errors. Yep, I did rush in several places, a lot. It helps to know which area I should check next to fix spellings and stuff.

I originally planned to write a short recap in the afterlife, to show what happens with the potion (also adding more option to tamper with the potion for different endings there). But... I ran out of time. Might add this after the rating phase has ended, because there is still a bunch of backstory and options in my notes and head which I didn't manage to include.

Excellent idea and compelling game play that prompted a replay. Survived the alchemist on the second go.  Great images.

Thanks for playing and your feedback :)

I really enjoyed the art style and atmosphere it created.

Thanks :)

Thanks :) - and good luck. Maybe it got too easy with 5 days to play ( I tested it mostly with 3 and 4 ).
After the rating period I will update the whole game with more options and events and look into balancing out the stats, so that it stays a bit challenging.

I died twice before I lived so as a mini-version it felt good.
and I experienced different things each time.

Adore the artwork...
I got smart enough to survive and escape!
Will have play some more to see if the other stats can give me a different outcome.
