These two tracks... They're so smooth, so airy, so... NYAN!
Kind of cloche the clock and adds a little rush, eeriness.... But it also creates this incredible feeling of someone running around me... some little gnome with a clock?
Good job!
P.S. RAWR
This is nice.
The way the bass comes in is nice.
I think some of the synths/reverb still sounds a bit muddy/harsh, but you still want it as wet.
How I might personally start troubleshooting this is trying out various reverbs - I went through a lot and landed on Neoverb as my go-to for almost everything for its cleanliness and color.
EQing the reverb highs and lows are also important - this prevents a lot of muddiness, cutting out those harsher high sounds.
Stereo image is also big. I can feel what you're going for and I want to hear it! Great work! :)
Very subtle take, simple ambient, I like the sound palette you went for. Thinking of sound, the main synths with lots of reverb, there is probably too much reverb and the more you played in the mid-high frequency spectrum the balance is gettng shifted a bit and everything is starting to get muddy easily, you'll need to cut the reverb frequency a lot especially in the low to 500hz to get a clearer image.
Thanks you very much for your comment!!! :)
Oh yeah, now this is my kind of ambience. The textures and harmonies are interesting and manage to stay out of the way, in some ways reminding me of the Hyper Light Drifter OST which is like top 3 OSTs for me lol. I'm also a sucker for clocks in the background, so I very much appreciate one's appearance here. Great work!
thanks for your comment!
Very minimalistic approach that has a chilly and isolated feel. The lead synth also adds to that with it almost breaking kind of sound and with the clock sounds in the later half it could have been from a movie scene, like a robot waiting in isolation for a visitor. Very cool!
I found this piece to be rather soothing, I loved the transition from the light plucks to the ambient pads section, with a light harmonizing rhythm. I only have one complaint, how the synth lead towards the end was crushing the audio in a way, unsure if that is intentional, but for me the crushed sound was annoying. Other than that, very nice piece.
Thanks for your observation :)
I love the ambient pad that is used throughout your tracks especially accompanied with that mysterious melody that is perfectly embellished by the motif! I feel like if you added some panning to the ticking noise it could add a cool effect to it. The only thing is you can hear the audio pop in your intro track at the beginning. Besides that nice submission!
