Hey everyone! This is the first game jam I am participating in here. Is there some sort of discord channel where we can discuss topics related to this jam? And do I need to first upload the original version of the game which I am improving over the weekend? Many thanks.

It can be interesting, I am sure that is totally in the spirit of this Jam.

However, when you edit you game you can put your favourite version of your game at the top.

And you can even if you prefer join files(the old version of the game), pictures, what you want, with a Devlog (on itch.io).
