The graphics were pretty well done, as was what music there was and the writing. Both graphics and writing reminded me a fair bit of Lisa: The Painful RPG, which is certainly not a bad thing. The story about trying to get your dog back is sweet, but I can't help but think pooch is in someone's stew pot. >.<;

The game could have done with a little more instruction when it came to the double-jump feature actually existing. I figured it out eventually but a tip would have been nice. People seem to have forgotten that the judges aren't likely to download from the game page itself instead of just a list of games, and thus instructions for controls and how to play are probably best put somewhere in-game.

The battles were a bit... weird. The idea of converting enemies into allies is neat, but the lack of skills was a bit of a let-down when it came to battle. You basically attack, have the other critter attack too and then convert when the enemy HP gets low enough.

I would have liked to have seen more of the game, though. We didn't get to see much of the world setting and it is something I would have liked to have seen a bit more of since it seemed to be a big part of the game itself.

Overall, what little was there was pretty good, but I felt like it could have shown a little more to flesh the experience out a bit more.

Pretty short, but promising game. The convert system seems like fun, and the lisa-style overworld exploration has plenty of possibilities. It did feel quite short however, even for a prototype. I was also pretty confused about the controls at first, but quickly got them once I read the game page. Perhaps a little bit of text or a background telling you about them should be included

I like the idea of the convert battle system, but I wasn't able to get "hooked" into this - might be due to the length, as I only had two battles and don't know much about the world yet. Felt like it was just about to really start when it ended. I would like to see more though to see where it goes, so I guess I was hooked a little! +1 for the name "Jeff Marvellous"!

Cute art style and story! However I was a bit confused with the fight system and I tried many time to convert someone with low hp but got killed at the end haha :P

Strikes me as weird that the other two people you get don't join you in fights.
