Really cute and fun game to play. Loved the intro as well.

Didn't play for too long, but one thing I noticed (Played browser ver. on OperaGX)

While in dialogue you can move and skip text with movement keys (don't know if intended).

You nailed the writing portion of this. I love the extra effort of adding a lore for each type of takodachis (along with the scientific name). The fishing mechanic is surprisingly complex, but really easy to get a hang of despite that.
Cozy and relaxing game overall, I feel that this is a game I'll come back to again every once in awhile. Great job!

I liked that you included a step by step tutorial instead of a wall of text. Good job!

The game is nice and relaxing and the tension mechanic was interesting as it was affected by the line angle, which I didn't expect.

I didn't play too long (only caught about 5 different takos) but I liked the different types of takodachis and their descriptions. Nephiliodachi my beloved. <3

I like the tension mechanic and how many different things affect it. I only ever broke a line when I was trying, but adjusting the line length and the angle feels engaging

After searching for like 10min or so i never even saw kiaras one even once which should be either 03 or 04 from how the takodex is sorted. both 03, 04 and also 19 and 22 are the ones i never found. For me the Takos who swim near me while i was catching another tako are dissapearing but that was already found out from multiple people here in the comments. Otherwise really nice and relaxing Game!

This is a fun cozy game about collecting takodachis. The fishing mechanics just seems a bit complicated and I had no idea what I was exactly doing, but it somehow worked. Not sure if it's just me, but I could hear some static in the sounds. I would also try to use consistent font in the game. I feel like there are 4 or more different fonts used, even on one single page. But overall a nice game and the little description for each takodachi is a nice touch.

Pretty relaxing little fishing game :O
I really like the music and I loved all the little themed Takodachis you collect (I especially liked reading each of their entry logs haha)
I did encounter a few bugs like the others mentioned (in my case, there was one time where the line itself despawned, and another where the Tako despawned like mentioned).

Very fun when it works! That's really my only complaint was that the game would sometimes break, but refreshing the page seemed to work as an emergency bailout. I really like the fishing mechanics though!

Also: are all the takodex entries in? I looked for 003 (presumably kiara?), 019, and 022 for a while but couldn't see any of them spawning in. Caught every variant that I saw though!

Is this bug takos despawning when hooked?

Submitted

It did seem related to that, yes

A very cute and relaxing game! Love all the references in the takodex. Sadly I couldn't finish it, since I ran into a gamebreaking bug where a tako seemingly despawned while being reeled in

I lost a golden tako to that bug... Thankfully I was able to get another one later. Also you can refresh the tab and reload your save to fix it.

Its very calming, I could see myself playing it in the background while watching a stream.
The length of the line in the world is different from the length shown in the GUI which confused me initially, but its a nice collectathon fishing game with a nice atmosphere. Also I like Ina!
