I really enjoyed this entry! The art was beautiful, the controls were crisp and responsive, the sound and art were on point, the controls were easy to understand and intuitive and i really loved the way you showed the keyboard keys to control, it was integrated and didnt need a full tutorial to understand.

Very cool implementation of the story and loved the little graffiti at the end!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and for the kind words :)

I loved this! It was perfectly difficult, without being frustrating hard to control. To bad there was not more levels, I could've easily spent a lot more time with this one. :) But perhaps that's also one thing that made it fun, the short game with solid and complete features is most often better than a long one with loose ends and unfinished stuff.

Nice surprise at the end! Was sort of hoping there would be some screen after showing other peoples etchings! :D

The only thing I had an issue with was the level gen sometimes being a bit unfair, but since I didn't need to restart the game because of it, I just found it fun! :D

Level gen: "You're gonna die"
Me: "No no, I got this"

Hahaha, yes, sorry about that... It can get very unfair sometimes, unfortunately it wasn't something I had time to fix. Thanks so much for playing and your feedback!

Fun, short game. Nice art, great job overall! Would be interesting so see what others have immortalized in stone 😅

That's some >>> fast >>> shippy you built there! Had 2 crashes (sound FX you chose fits perfect!) and finally made it to the goal. Really enjoyed the fly :-P

Simple game, but very well executed. I enjoyed especially the ending where you get to carve your own thing in the Hagia Sofia, that was a nice touch!

Enjoyable sail across the screen. I liked the powerups at the end of each voyage.
Needs a bit more challenge though - I found it pretty easy.

Loved the carving at the end.

Great short game! The grafitti was genius addition to the game. Loved every second of it.

Short but well executed

Nice game!

Cute graphics and smooth gameplay. Audio was a bit repetitive, but fitting well in atmospherically. I really liked that you could get upgrades between each level, although the difficulty overall was a bit too easy. Well done! :)

Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback on the audio. It's something I have to work on for sure.

Great game ! Like the graphics and the gameplay.

The only thing is sometimes, I see object (like rocks and grass) overlapping, or grass in the sand zone.

Thank you! That's good feedback, unfortunately it's not something I had time to fix. But I might fix it for a future, non-gamejam release.

Really enjoyed the game ! The last level was very challenging but fun..(almost rage quitted)🙂

Developer

Thanks for playing and well done for perservering :)

Ah yes, truly a great game, allowing me to relive the experiences of my ancestors by traveling the seas only to draw a crude depiction of male genitalia on a wall.

I did feel that the upgrades were lacking a bit in terms of oomph. Also I noticed that if you slow down the boat by hitting the A key, the number of obstacles becomes almost impossible to handle. Preventing the player from cheesing the game by going to slowly could have better been better implemented by, for example, including a timer, where you have to reach the next destination within a certain amount of time.

Developer

Haha, thanks for the feedback. Crude depictions of male genitalia is truly the thread that binds generations together.

And regarding the number of obstacles that appear if you go slow, good idea!

The gameplay was straightforward but very satisfying. The last level was a good level of challenging and I almost hit the rocks a good few times.

Also I loved committing graffiti 10/10
