Very good game! i really enjoyed it overall, i broke the map and it was interesting. The screen shake was annoying but the rest was incredible!
Thanks! :)
I'm planning to add an option for turning on/off and adjusting the shake after voting period ends.
While these arena retro shooter games aren't usually my cup of tea, this was really well done and I had fun trying to surive, although are some aspects that would definitely need to be polished. The screen shake was actually kinda annoying and it hurt my eyes a bit; that might not be the case for all players, but I personally would recommend removing it entirely or reducing it. I would also suggest to add a bit more of HP to make it a bit less frustrating. But overall, really good job!
Thanks for playing! :)
The screen shake is something everyone is complaining about. I had to reduce it once - and I reduced it MUCH - and what you see know is the lessened version, still everyone complaining. :D
I'm not saying this as a negative thing tho, it's good to have feedback.
I think the best option would be a screenshake slider - making the current value the maximum - / checkbox to customize it or turn it off optionally. After the jam ends I'll probably add a slider/checkbox pair for that.
About the HP I might increase it to the 1.5 of the current value but I'm not sure yet...I spent some time balancing it, cause I want to find a spot between "not easy, not too hard" and "Alf-F4" where it's challenging but not ridicoulously challenging to reach a good highscore.
This was cool, I liked the whole presentation. The music was really fitting too!
Thanks!
This was pretty nice game. The only real compliant that I have is the screen shake. It was a little too much for me and made it difficult to tell what was going on. Couple that with the gib effects from killing the Lovecraftians, and the shotgun blasts, and it was a technicolor nightmare. Still, not bad for what it is.
Thanks :D
Loved the music & SFX, I think they were very appropriate for the visual style. I also hit issues with the screen shake being a bit much, particularly if I was trying to climb a slope it'd push the camera through the floor.
Thanks!
Original version had even more camera shake :D This one is limited to a certain amount but maybe I should lower it. -- Or at least lower how much the consecutive shots add to the shake if it's already shaking.
Fun game! The screen shake was a bit too much at times but really loved it, and the graphics looks super good! Good job! :)
Thanks! :D
I've just played your game. Gonna give it a review as soon as I can :)
