This was a good standard, run of the mill, Dungeon Crawler.
I personally prefer to see the enemies running about as battle events rather than as random encounters, but that's just me.
This feels like a game tossed together in a weekend. I'd like to see this same game given proper time and development, could be fun.

So glad someone picked Priscilla as a protagonist and thanks for submitting! The game did need a bit more time cooking, as I think you know. Combat was sort of 1 dimensional, as were the characters. There were random encounters in a maze, and although the floor was mercifully brief, it was still a combination I never want to see. There was a party, but they weren't particularly useful, and all the combat was pretty impossible to win. Would love to see something much more developed from you for some jam!

Yeah I'd never do that in a "real" game but here, the annoyance was part of the point. :)

I don't havea lot of comments, as i'm probably worse at making battles and writing, but I did wish the battles were a tad harder by the end, and easier by the start.

This game was okay quick RTP game for me. I think also some battles appeared to have been hard at first but turns out I only just needed to attack the same enemy. I do feel like all three floors of battles were the same difficulty unlike what was said at the beginning, but also relieved it's the same difficulty (at least for me) because I wanted to see the story to the end and didn't want to engage in longer RTP battles. So I kind of enjoyed this game because I could easily get through battles by making sure to focus attacks on one particular enemy and things were quickly taken care of, so I can get to the story. I actually had a better experience with your game than some of the submissions.

While this game may not be amazing, it's not horrible, either. The story isn't anything to write home about and the battle skills are stock, but there's still some creativity in how they're used. It's not hard to figure out how to play or what to do, and the game doesn't overstay its welcome.

I do question the use of random battles when you don't gain anything from them, but I did like the later floors in that there was at least SOME reason to engage in the battles.

I would like to see you really explore customizing more of the battle skills and mechanics some day. I can see potential for some creative stuff, but it hasn't been realized yet. But hey, congrats on getting another entry in, and thanks for participating in the jam!

While the game description says to not expect much except for a dedication to heroic ideals, the "heroic ideals" in this story doesn't amount to much. Here, you're not saving anyone, you're just slashing things until they're dead.

The whole thing was sort of an initiation rite.
