This game is short but has a lot of style! Despite your procrastination, I think you ended up with something you should be proud of! One thing that someone said to me (I am also a chronic procrastinator) is that "motivation comes during the work, not before." That stuck with me because I find that once you start a project like cleaning your room, homework, final essay, or a fun game jam, it's so much easier while you're working and all that apprehension / worry that you have before you started goes away.

Anyways! I would have loved to see a full-fledged story done in your style. The drawing is excellent, the little maze minigame reminds me of a nasty public bathroom (what is wrong with people btw, do they mess up their own homes the same way????), and I was sad to see Mr Pickles shop was closed :(

The maze was a little frustrating because the center of the player sprite is not perfectly centered, so rotating him actually moves him into the wall.

Great work, and congratulations on submitting!

Honestly this is a good description of literally every single public restroom I've been in. The gameplay is sort of strange with the shifting of the character, but it's pretty good. Not necessarily too annoying but it's a nitpick I have. But, uh, great job. I really like the intro cutscene and the art in this game. Great job. Great job.

My apologies for the maze glitch things, I programmed this in scratch and planned to add a hitbox. However it slipped my mind at the last minute, thank you all for point it out though!

This game is surprisingly frustrating but the art was pretty cool

the intro was cool, but the character keeps shifting when you move, also I think you should add the option to use w, a ,s,d keys instead of arrow keys

Developer

I nearly added w,a,s,d and mobile support, but the deadline was approaching and my laziness kicked in. I may do that after the jam is over, thank you for the suggestion!

The intro cutscene art was great! However, like others say, it is super annoying that the character shifts when you move. Great job though!

Movement was pretty hard. It makes it hard when you move in different directions because it slightly moves the character to the right or left, and the hitbox for the character is not too accurate. But it was cool to see that someone else procrastinated while doing their project! (I also did.. ALOT..) Edit: I also loved the art! Even though it was simple, it fit the theme very well :)

Theres a slight issue that makes the game a little annoying to play. When you move up and down your character moves left or right slightly which can make it difficult to navigate the maze. I also think making the players hit box a little smaller would have been nice because sometimes it resets me when it didnt look like i hit a wall. Good job submitting a game even through procrastination!
