- I enjoyed the core game loop of moving and attacking to the beat, and the movement controls were very intuitive! I could not figure out how to use items, as pressing "C" did not seem to change anything - perhaps some tooltips and/or visual feedback of what the powerups do could help with this. Additionally, I would recommend adding an epilepsy/photosensitivity warning due to the bright colors and screen shakes - this could be as simple as putting an extra splash screen in the initial loading sequence. Overall, I think this game could use some more polish, but it's a great start towards a fun concept!

The music and aesthetic was very cool. It feels like a 3d version of Crypt of the Necrodancer which is what I assume you were going for here. A tutorial or some documentation on what is what and what each thing does would be hugely helpful. Also using an item causes my multiplier to go to zero? And using space causes the multiplier to increase? That doesn't feel intentional. And coins seem to be able to be picked up some times but not others. I couldn't figure out when I was allowed to pick things up and use items or not.
Overall it's a great start. I think a tutorial would be hugely helpful. Keep going on this.
Great job :)
I usually avoid rhythm games but I do like dungeon crawlers so that's the part I'm going to speak to.
You've got a really good base done here. I was a little confused what specifically caused me to take damage and how I was supposed to defeat the snails. I had a snail spawn in one of the hallways and I couldn't get passed it. I think adding in some weapons or other ways to fight the creatures would help. And use syncing to the rhythm to do more damage or something. I'd personally brighten up the walls of the rooms a bit just to give a better idea of the bound.
I really like your music, it's good for keeping the beat to.
All in all, I think you have a very good start here! Good luck from here!
This looks like a good start. I like the lighting and the music.
A few quick things you could do to make this a more complete experience are to
I think if you want to keep the combo you may want to think about adding a tutorial to explain how to activate the combo.
Hey it looks like your comment cut off at the end, did you have more to add? Anyway I'm glad you like the music. I don't have that much experience with making music for games so I hope it sounds alright. Coins and a shop system have been top on my to-do list but since it's just me working on the game, I didn't get to add them in time. Combo will add to a loot multiplier. I'll definitely add a tutorial. I appreciate that you took the time to give some feedback. I'll continue working on it after the jam.
Here is a free tool that can get you a few basic sounds. I completely understand. This is the first game I made with sound and before I got started I really thought it was going to be and up hill battle. I also understand the felling of "I spent an hour looking for sound that I could have spent working on my game". One thing I am planning on doing for myself is getting together a library of sound effects just to have stuff on hand so that sound goes a lot faster.

Very handy tool for sfx, thanks. Kenney has a lot of public domain sound effects as well: https://kenney.nl/assets?q=audio
