How does your game fit the theme?
The puzzles in the game use the concept of moving forward and backwards in time in order to complete them. The general flow of time in this game is broken which you must use to your advantage in order to complete the puzzles.

Nice pixel puzzle reminiscent of Baba Is You ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿง .

GAMEPLAY
This was a fun puzzle game to play. Did break my mind sometimes to get the correct placement to solve it. Fun concept that I think can be used to build upon to make it even more fun. Would have been nice to see some differentiation between the portal because I know sometimes forget which one was what. Maybe a suggestion of adding a tutorial level could provide a smoother introduction to the game mechanics, though the self-discovery aspect also offers a satisfying learning curve when you do succeed.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The pixel art style is charming and reminiscent of the beloved Baba Is You, bringing a nostalgic touch to the experience. However, there's some room for improvement in the User Experience (UX) design to ensure a more intuitive interaction with the game elements I think.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The background track suits the genre well and relaxing for the puzzles and the simple sound effects (SFX) enhance the gameplay. The addition of more tracks, SFX, and Visual Effects (VFX) could further enrich the auditory and visual experience in a future update.

THEME
The theme of broken physics is touched upon...could maybe even be more...but check.

Conclusion, nicely done puzzle game for this 10 day jam. Well done and keep it going๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘!

Good mechanics, I loved the use of portals and the time management. I think there's room for improvement in terms of UX and UI, which would make the game more intuitive. Congratulations!

Developer

Thank you! UX and UI are honestly always my biggest struggles, especially with game jam games. I spent a huge amount of time making the portals draggable which is surprisingly hard in unity due to the differences in screenspace and world space.

I really like this entry, definitely see how the 'and' gate was the click moment and it was based around that. As other comments have said a couple more levels would have been great to push the idea further but I'm sure coming up with levels in this style has its challenges. Also would be nice if the portals had different colours as after dragging it can get a bit confusing which is which (but still quickly figured out). A good solid idea with clear UI and felt satisfying to beat : D

Developer

Oh yea definitely, I had a lot of other ideas too which I mentioned in the devlog but in the end didn't get the time to figure out how to implement them

Wow really nice game! The goal and actions you can do are really clear and easy to understand! The levels are challenging but not too difficult for a game jam, wish I could play 1-2 more levels! Good job! You could try my game if you have time too!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm trying to get around to all of them but I have other things to do (although they are a lot more boring than playing games...)

Haha I see! Did you get inspiration for your game from other games made during jams like baba is you or something like that?

Developer(+1)

Baba is you was a big inspiration for this game, I had attempted something similar in the past but with WASD controls and it didn't work out at all, so when the theme was broken physics I thought I'd go back to the idea and give it another shot but with Q/E to control the timelines instead.

Nice game, left some feedback in the game's page

Developer

Thank you!

Cool puzzles, not really sure how the theme fits though, feels like a tile-based portal game, with 'time' slapped onto it (and never really used). Good job though, I like the art!

Developer

The only level that really needs to use the time mechanic is the last one, the entire game was based around that since I spent the first 5 days getting that mechanic working but in the end I didn't have enough time to design and come up with ideas that properly use it. Might explore the idea again in the future, maybe with WASD direct controls instead of indirect controls. Thanks for playing it!

I enjoyed the puzzles and wish there were more, the third one took a long time to solve and I felt great when I did.

Art I think is a little too reminiscent of Baba Is You, but, it is a nice style. Really curious what more could be done with this if you were to continue developing it :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I've been getting better feedback than I expected so maybe in the future I'll do something more with this idea. There are some key problems to work out though, especially with the portals and showing time jumps.

Oh gosh, this hurt my brain haha. Fun concept and very difficult. Well done

Developer(+1)

Haha thanks!

I love the Baba is you-like graphics! And a very cool concept. I'm not sure I totally get the (time) portals. Really clever idea!

Developer

Thank you! It's really hard to show off the time portals sending you back in time, since only 1 puzzle really requires there use. Maybe in the future, I could come up with some more ways to show that off.
