How does your game fit the theme?
I combined real life with game by having the players scan a qr code at the end of the game

Other things you want to share with the players of your game.
Hope you enjoy this is my first game made and the first game jam I participated

A great concept! Like a platformer getting over it.

Really good job for your first game! The graphics were amazing and the gameplay felt very good. It would be nice to see some more audio, but the game is polished very well. Great job.

Really impressive first game! Really liked the controls and level in general and the game was relatively well polished overall. Having a pause menu is great too, love to see it!

Just some general feedback:

  • Remember the player doesn't know the level like you do, so with the invisible platforms that have differing sizes, it might have been cool to highlight them somehow once you'd landed on them... Falling off just because  you don't know the size of the platforms can kind of be disheartening
  • Take a look at Unity's post processing stack. Once it's setup it's an easy way to take the visuals of your game just that tiny bit better!
  • In most cases, try to be consistent with the size of your pixels in the game, use the "pixels per unit" property in the Unity texture field to help with this. That consitency often helps just bring the visuals a bit more together
  • Music, even some NCS bits you found online can be very nice, even just in the menu
  • Unity also has a platform component that allows you to jump up through the bottom of a platform but stand on the top, could make for some fun gameplay?

Overall really nice little game, quite enjoyed it and the fact it's your first game makes it all the more impressive, fantastic work mate!

I often find it useful to watch how players interact with my games I play, so I recorded the gameplay in a quick video if you'd like to check it out :)

Yooo thats so nice thanks a lot mate my next game will be a lot better I swear I did the art but its gonna take more time to finish it bc I got nice ideas but atm its nice looking

Found the Palette Tiling thing and its awesome it helps me a lot

Ab the post processing I will do look at that

One friend of mine will do my music for this game

Anyways thanks a lot for this review

No worries! If you need any help with anything Unity related I've been using the engine for like 8 years (too long πŸ˜‚) so feel free to hit us up on the discord server!

Promising first game jam entry πŸ’ͺ

GAMEPLAY

I read the slippery was intended, but it made it more difficult to progress. It was also an extra challenge. Had fun playing it and for a first game jam entry it was not bad at all.

GRAPHICS/ART
Own made graphics is always cool! Read that you could do even better so like to see that in a next jam πŸ˜Š!

AUDIO
Jump Sfx was nice, but a background track would have been a good addition to the game and the ambiance

THEME
I think that it could have been something more present.

Keep up this good work in you next game projects and jams!πŸ’ͺ

Developer(+1)

thanks a lot my next project will be a lot better

Hope you will join us next jam also. Like to see the next project😊!

Developer(+1)

I will if I see it pop in the jam section:) I want a good jam not a goddot or gdev one I want to use only unity so your the best jam I found atmπŸ₯°

Thanks πŸ˜Š!

The control of the character felt slippery, but at the same time, you could jump between many platforms in a smooth flow, which was very satisfying.

Sometimes, the level design felt confusing. Having someone to playtest would probably have highlighted this.

But overall, good work. Congratulations on making your first game!

Developer(+1)

thx a lot ik it was slippery thats how I wanted it to be

I had no time for making better lvls and no friends to play test it

I usually do decent art in aseprite but for this game the graphics were horrible:)

anyways thanks a lot for playing it

The game has potential of being a cool frustrating challenging 2D platformer, but it is very lackluster and kinda unfair at times with its floaty movement... but for a first game it gives promising insight into your future projects if continue learning and making games!

Developer(+1)

oh thanks a lot for checking my game my future project will be better I promise<3
