Web version freezes when I play it so I dloaded the nix version and all was well. Great and a bit of a challenge (in a good way).

I tried to run this game in the browser on my Windows computer, and the only inputs that seemed to work were walking left (when holding down A) and pausing the gameplay with ESC (no menu came up though, if that was supposed to happen). I could not walk right or click on anything.

Edit: seems like the Windows desktop version is working fine. Although, you get a "crash" result when you close the game, so I'm not sure why that's happening. Certain resources / memory references still in use at exit or something?

I really liked the game. The art, music, and gameplay was decently fun considering its a jam game. Here is some feedback.

1. The bread cart wasn't functional (nothing was thrown when I was on it). I don't know if that's a bug or if it's a feature that just didn't make it in, but either way, it was a "thing" in the level that gave the appearance that I could interact with it, but I couldn't. This is a fault in the game design.

2. Throwing bombs at the birds was fun, but I feel like the game would've been more entertaining if there'd been some kind of challenge to it. Perhaps with faster birds that would swoop down and try to hit the player directly (perhaps allow the player to have a jump mechanic to jump over the diving birds) and then to have occasional birds come by with weights that, if not shot in advance, drop their load on a cart and potentially damage the train (so the train has health too). In every game I played, I basically had to let the weights fall onto me in order to lose. Or get careless with the heat and watch my train burn without realizing I can also chuck water by standing over the water cart (happened the first time I played).

Anyway, this was a fun little project. Great work! I could easily see this being a tiny little mobile game btw.

Thank you for playing my game and the in-depth feedback! The bread wagon is indeed a scrapped feature. Your points are all very understandable and i will hopefully fix them in an after-jam version. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
