Really simple and good game. I had a bit of trouble because the other hunter knew the precise location of the target all the time. Other than that clean art, good map and good loop. Good job :)
Thanks for playing & commenting!
The other bounty hunters have a random chance to « figure out » where the target is on the map without them being in their field of view, and also a (much more likely) random chance to « spot » the target when it’s in their field of view.
But I could’ve added a few difficulty settings to make it easier in your first handful of games while you’re still learning the map, because you really are at a disadvantage when you can’t quickly identify the various landmarks / arrangements. Perhaps I’ll do that after the jam :)
What to add that hasn't been said? It's a good game. It's very enjoyable to guess where the targets are based on their surroundings. Feels great to get the kill. It's also fun to occasionally see their assassins in the bounty window. Nice map for this too.
The other hunters are really hard to beat. I'd like a difficulty setting for fewer or slower opponents :) Also maybe a count of how many targets remaining?
Also, sometimes the gore from previous bounties becomes the new landmark. Priceless.
Thanks for playing and giving feedback!
Difficulty settings and improved UI are definitely good suggestions.
And yes, I was quite satisfied with the « gore » once I added it in, I didn’t have it at first but it really does help a bit and makes the game better!
great game :) , the landmarks and the target viewer was good, also the art was very good
Really great game! I like that you made the landmarks very distinct it always made finding (or losing) the mark seem fair. I like that you can trip up the other bounty hunters as well that was a good touch
Very nice game! Really like the overall style and mechanic, even if it was sometimes a little hard to discern where the target was. I saw you're aware of the control issue (they seemed to remap themselves?). This happened for me, but luckily I noticed you also had click-and-drag movement implemented! So I was able to play just fine, and enjoyed going a few rounds 'til I had the other hunters beat! Great job!
I’m impressed you found the click & drag / touchscreen support, seeing as I hadn’t even mentioned it anywhere 😅
and yes, the remapping is faulty in some cases - I added it in a rush on the last day, having never done it before, and… well, something obviously went awry.

The map was a really nice touch. Felt like a little puzzle to solve where they were. It might be nice if you had clearly defined districts so you could learn the map and know this is the edge of the forest, or this is the one bridge, etc. Currently there are multiple orange roof maps so it is harder to understand where they are. Though maybe that is the point.
I am not sure if I misunderstood the controls, but the other bounty hunters felt like they could move faster than I did, which felt a little unfair. I didn’t realize till a bit that I could stun them, so maybe I should have been doing that more. Nice work overall!

I was hoping to make the map bigger and a bit more fleshed out, ensuring there’s always some detail (even if it’s just a tiny one) that can differentiate one area from another, but… of course, time was an issue 😅
As for the other bounty hunters, they do have certain tiny advantages, but as you learn the map and discover a few « secret passages » within the game (where you can go through but not the bots), the advantage tips over to the player’s side.
Once again, thanks for playing! ✨
I really liked the map, and once I understood the map I was able to determine where the target was based on landmarks. I won :D
yay! Fantastic! That’s exactly what I was going for, I’m glad you figured it out and won!
Thank you for playing and for sharing your experience ✨
Our games are similar in terms of random characters, but when it comes to gameplay they couldn't be any different. It was really fun playing your game, running around and trying to find the targets before the other hunters was challenging. Being able to stun the other hunters was a game changer, It would have been really hard to beat the game without that ability. Great job!
Took me a while to understand that other bounty hunters are hunting the same target and that's why the target changes!
After that, felt more the pressure to play. Generally I really liked the idea and you have lots of places to improve. Good job :)
Exactly the kind of important detail you don't notice or think about when you're testing your own game - thanks for the feedback!
I did think of starting all of the other bounty hunters in the same area as the player, and letting them run wild afterwards, so the player would at least see that they're not alone right at the start. But... clearly it slipped my mind afterwards, because that didn't make it to the published release. I'll update that after the jam.
