Repair the fences while the werepigs are trying to break into your cornfield.

I'll echo what others said, the vibe was great (spooky, spoopy, and a little goofy) and the idea is nice, but it was just a little hard to parse. I think maybe the directional audio didn't work right in the browser possibly. Whenever I died, I wasn't quite sure what I had done wrong.

There was also an odd lag spike on trying to interact, not sure if that's just browser lag or an optimization issue.

Great job, especially on the visuals, and thank you for submitting.

As mentioned below, it was hard to find the broken fences (I didn't find any) and interacting felt a bit unclear. You have some nice visuals and audio though, it fits well with a spoopy vibe if that's what you were going for.

Thank you for your feedback and for playing the game!

I will update the game after the jam to provide some x-ray shader where a werepig make noise to make the game more enjoyable.

As for the spoopy vibe, it is what I was going for so I'm glad it's noticeable!

Nice idea, fun visuals and great audio.

Some issues I experienced:

  • I could not repair the fence, nor find where it's broken, it all looked the same to me. I tried following the various noises, but to no effect.
  • Interacting with objects, especially the lanterns took a second for some reason where I wasn't able to do anything but there was also no indication that something is happening. If lighting them should be instantaneous, something is not optimal in the code, or, if the delay is intentional, it would be useful to display some kind of a progress bar or other indicator that something is happening.
  • If I clicked on a lantern while moving, sometimes I had the controls disabled the same way I described above, but I was moving (or more like "sliding") further in the same direction I was going.

Unfortunately I did not achieve any end game, probably because I could not find the fences to repair, but I might give it another go later.

Also, once I kept my back to the fence, I was basically immortal :)

Thank you for playing my game and for your feedback.

  • I feel like the spatialisation of sound is not precise enough to be able to follow exactly the origin of the sound. I will try to tweak it for improvement after the end of the jam. As for the broken fence maybe it was in the first state, because it is more visible as it gets destroyed.
  • The delay is a feature, I wanted to add animations for it to be more smooth but I didn't had the time. I understand how it can feel frustrating.
  • My bad, I know exactly why and I know how to fix it, thanks for finding this bug!!!

Don't worry, there is no endgame it is just an arcade game where the longer you stay the more difficult it gets.

It's normal that the "entities" stops moving when you look at them but you should have lose when the werepigs broke a fence so there is probably another bug to investigate there!
