Great art! I completed the demo and absolutely loved its atmosphere of mystery and tale. The music also helps to build it up. At first, it was unclear what you could do, but it was easy to understand. It’s also nice that the game feels interesting without having complex movement mechanics or tricks like in some platforms. I think this is a strong point of the game that you can employ further on–a mysterious atmosphere and natural and easy-to-understand flow that keeps you engaged.

Very pretty platformer the artwork looked quite unique. Really liked the music too.
Simple yet effective, nice submission.
chill platformer with stunning art direction, and a fun metroid-style vibe! the player controls felt smooth in water, combined with the music/ambiance it really captured what is so great about water levels in video games. the physics did change on land, but it still felt a bit floaty; adjusting movement for different levels could add that contrast it was missing. some minor ui issues with music settings, didn't know i could check my inventory until i read the comments. still, it was enjoyable, and i'd love to see more development using items beyond just unlocking new areas, but given the scope of a game jam entry, it's not a big deal. i'd love to see how you would've implemented combat as well. amazing work overall!
Fun little metroid-style game! I really enjoyed the visuals and the main character. It took me a while to realize I could complete a jump in the top portion of the map, but I'm glad I read some of the comments regarding coyote time. I'd like to see the idea developed more, specifically using the items in some way rather than gates to new maps. Great work!
I'm glad you picked up on the Metroidvania elements! The original concept for this was something inspired by Castlevania II, but of course that was an overscope so I had to pivot last minute and use the systems I had to still make something complete (╥ᆺ╥;)
The first idea was that collections were turned into NPCs and more traditional power-ups unlocked new area, but both weren't ready in time. It's still something I'd like to flesh out in the future though!
Really chill platformer. I loved the player controller in the beginning as it made me feel like I was navigating in water. However once you appeared to get out of the water it still felt floaty, and no longer made as much sense. Could be a cool contrast to change up the control on the different levels.
I think I ran into a bug where the music controls were set to 0 visually, but were in effect, and then I was confused if that was all the way on or off, then couldn't get back to the main menu, but was able to refresh the page.
Also it might be because of an incomplete system, but I was confused what the shells that were counted on the screen were for, and would have been nice to see a count of the items that were needed to unlock the different areas.
I had fun playing over all!
Thank you for playing!
The physics do change between levels, but I could tweak it to make the change a little more extreme. I was worried that if it was too drastic, it would only be disorienting.
I have to double check, but I think that bug may be due to the initial launch of the game not having a save file and thus the slider defaults to 0. But I'll test and see what else may be causing it!
And yeah, the shells were a currency that was meant to be used in a shop, but those mechanics were unfortunately scrapped due to not being complete in time.
But ooh! There is a collectable menu (C || Slash || Triangle) and the volume slider is accessible anywhere in the game (ESC || Backspace || Start). I made the mistake of explaining the controls in the description rather than in-game, but that's something I need to implement in the future.
That was a fun game! The art looks great and it was relaxing to explore the level layouts. It took me a second to figure out that some jumps needed the coyote-time to do but I think it was a clever use of its implementation.
Cute little game. An explanation of all the controls in-game would've been helpful. (I didn't know about the collection menu until I started reading the comments here! XD) Platforming felt good, though landing on some of the small platforms was a bit tricky with K+M. Visuals are good, the music is great. But I couldn't manage to get past one jump in level 3. It seemed to be too high to jump to with the reduced out of water jump. But it was fun while it lasted!
What a chill game! The shark-girl? is adorable and the backgrounds are beautiful. The music really sets the mood and is well done. Nice one!
Hey, loved this game! Perfect length for a jam imo, and had some fun platforming jumps that almost felt like a puzzle to figure out. I think my favorite detail was using the columns of the platformers to tie into the background but definitely the standout is that it gorgeous landscape from the menu screen. The music and effects fit the environments well and I also appreciated the feeling of change throughout the levels. Really great experience, good job!!
Very relaxing platformer, I really liked the artstyle and the music. A little bug (?) I found is that if you go back and forth between areas, the collectables respawn. Also, I would've liked to see how much of each collectable I got, rather than having to guess if I'm near to how much I need.
Great little game. I played to the end :) it's relaxing with just enough challenge to be engaging.
Cute and beautiful game, I loved the artstyle and music :)
The controls felt a bit weird, idk if it's because I was playing on web, but I still enjoyed the game!
The game looks beautyfull! The calming vibe really fits.
Congrats on your entry.
Excellent work! Loved the art and cohesion, it was a delightfully chill experience, esp after the mad rush getting in my own submission; it was just the break I needed.
