Hi PxlHeart, looks like the game was playable on my web browser, after all! Did you make last minute fixes for the zoom?

Alas I couldn’t survive past 30 seconds. I clicked the RMB like my life depended on it, yet the lighthouse didn’t survive…

You can pat yourself on the back now that you have made a playable demo in nine days!

The was pretty neat, I did die rather quickly but the machine gun mode helped go from 2 kills to 30!

For me the game window was too big and a bit of the game was off screen.

Great concept, has a ton of potential - especially as a Combined Genre game.

Pros:

  • Love the handmade music, just wish it was utilized in the game
  • Easter Eggs ❤️
  • Not just one tree style.
  • Audio Attenuation - Was great to hear the waves as I got closer to the shore

Critiques:

  • Natural time progression would be to fill a sense of urgency for the player
  • Audio Preview in Adjustment Sliders

It was great previewing this game with you in stream, Reading your commentary as I was playing, understanding where you want to go with this game. It has a ton of potential, and I look forward to seeing more from this one!

Web and windows both ran fine for me FWIW, though I didn't even last 30 seconds due to the overwhelming number of enemies, as noted on the game page.  Things didn't go as planned but you still should be proud you managed to get a whole loop in on your first jam.  I recommend taking stock of how you approached and figure out ways to keep the scope down.  Good luck and I hope to see more from you!

Hey, thanks for commenting! Just to clarify, this is personally my second jam, (still my first GWJ), but our first jam overall as a team. Thank you for the kind words, I imagine scoping is a big issue for all new game jammers, but we're definitely getting better at it! We appreciate the input!

unfortunately the game kept crashing for me :'( I'm on windows and I couldn't play for more than 30 secondes

Oh dear, were you using Web or the Windows download? Would you be able to access the logs for me? If it's not too much trouble
