Fun puzzle platformer with a simple mechanic, very clean. It reminded me a lot of a flash game I played as a kid but I don't remember the name. Nice work!
Short and sweet, and a tight mechanic. Love it!
This was a really interesting one and fun to play too. I managed to complete the game, after it taking longer than it should have on the last level.
The swapping was really smooth and everything felt tight controls/movement wise. If I had to give any feedback it'd only be (as others have mentioned sorry) the collision for the spikes felt a bit unfair.
Really solid though. Nice one.
I really liked this one. Such a clean presentation. The levels were very fun, I played through all of it :)
Now, I can't be the only one that saw this and mentally went "A M O G U S" right? (am I cooked...?)
Thanks Jorel ! The Character was just a rectangle in the beginning. And at the end my inside artist said "You don't have enough time and skills to make 2d art and animation" so I just Slapped glasses to yellow box it kinda looked sus! Approved!
Nice little puzzle game! I enjoyed it the full way through.
The controls felt smooth. I liked the use of lighting, too. Though I see the inspiration for flipping sides between light and dark, I would have liked to have seen the theme have a deeper influence on the game mechanics.
I'd second the criticism regarding the spike collision boxes being wider than I expected from the visual queue. I didn't have an issue with the blind jumps as much, as each time I took a leap of faith, I landed on something. The levels reloaded fast enough that 1 or 2 failed blind jumps would have been okay to me.
I thought the design of the puzzles and levels was good. They built up in difficulty at a nice pace, and none seemed too daunting to stop me from continuing forward. The game flowed from beginning to end.
Congrats on your first GWJ entry! Looking forward to what you make in the future.
Thanks very much for your review Maaack. now that everyone is mentioning it, I felt it too. I'll make spikes hotboxes a bit reasonable and also add more levels. :)
What a great and infuriating game! I was stuck on the last two levels longer than I should have. I loved your take on the theme. Greatly done 👍
Thanks Prashant! I liked how you added timer into your game to add more tension into your game. I wish I had done the same.
No problem, althugh your game doesnt feel empty without the timer
I really liked your game, a creative take on the theme.
My critiques:
- In some levels the player camera is too zoomed in making it hard to land on platforms outside of the screen
- The background music's small loop is really distracting throughout the game
Besides that very good game!
Very nice game, I liked the difficulty curve to get you used to the mechanics, and it felt good to play :)
Hey great job here! I think it would be beneficial to have a camera zoom control, or to have it automatically zoom in and out at certain points, because there were times that I couldn't see the platform I was supposed to jump or flip over to and I just had to take a leap of faith and guess.
Really neat game. the controls felt great. tho i wish the spikes hitbox was more easily identifiable. other than that, theres no real problems with the game.
funny how the title is like literally opposite to mine.
What a fantastic example of less is more! Everything is well polished and feels really great to play.
