Nice concept! I hope you build it out more!
Did you do the art yourself?
Thanks, yes i did the pixel art, I'm working on it to finish
Wow, great job!
Some goblins seemed to heal sometimes or something. maybe visualize that better or is it a bug? Not sure about what you should do after the area is filled with your troops or trees.
you could go many directions from here: expand tile area bigger, cut trees for resources to expand or build something?, stack troops for more powerful ones. add variety of ways for them to interact, like using swords and shields and healing etc. etc...
anyway nice looking game, but it is missing gameloop like you said.
Thanks! The forest place should heal sometimes, but it's not working well, I'm improving the game after JAM, unfortunately is an incomplete game now, but I intend to finish!
Cool idea, good work!
Thanks!
I like the style of this and it seems like the underlying mechanics work really well, but I really didn't know what was going on haha. it could benefit from a simple tutorial or some text indications. I ended up randomly filling the map with my units and tree tiles, and then spamming the next turn button since no goblins could spawn. seems like the foundation for something cool though!
My game doesn't have a game loop, because of it stay a bit confuse, Thanks to review, I intend to finish it!
Props for open sourcing! I love the idea of a turn-based tower defense and I like the implementation you have here with the hotbar/hand of things to place and the board. It feels a bit too easy, though, and could maybe use a resource mechanic to limit how much you can place, fewer refills each turn, or perhaps the board expands and the number of enemies increases? So many options–I’ve watched your repo and hope to see where you take it!
Thanks! I plan finish the project yet, unfortunately my time management was poor, but I like the result for a first game made to a jam!
