Good job on your first game jam!

Developer

First GWJ, I did a month one back in January which is a lot more chilled 😅

Cool combo game! I think you did well with difficulty (to throw another opinion into the mix). I think it's very hard to judge in a game jam when you are condensing a full experience into a few minutes. I've had the same problem. I think in a game jam I tend to err on the slightly easier side just because you don't want to turn off potentially short attention spans. We have a lot of games to look at.

Good job, anyway! I like the combination of two games! Next time I would challenge you to add a twist to the snake portion and add some simple animations.

Finally got around to playing this today: simple games, but it was fun to link two simple game styles together with the void theme. Maybe I'm just too good at puzzles, but I felt the void effect could have been a little more aggressive.

Yeah I agree but the last commenter somehow found the second puzzle "too difficult" so you really can't push these things. Thanks for the kind words, it was a good learning project and I'm glad some people enjoyed playing it.

Interesting combination and choice to link the two games. Some easier puzzles at the beginning would be great, the second one is way too hard at this early stage.

Cool collection of minigames! I'm embarrassed to say that i got stuck at the 2nd sokoban lvl, but thats not due to the fault of the game. Nice game feel overall!

The puzzles are really cool! Personally though, it felt like the snake parts were just hindering me from enjoying the rest of the game. I think their difficulty could be toned down, or maybe these 2 types of game just don't match so well imo. It really felt frustrating to die with 3 points left on a snake level that requires 30 while I could be doing puzzles which are more interesting. Still, a very nice game overall!

Nice game, I enjoyed the puzzles a lot!

I've expected many things when reading "Cthulhu-chan" but not this. very fun and cute game that reminds me how stupid I am for puzzles. Ia Ia Cthulhu fthagn!

Entertaining and well made

I've not seen a sokoban + snake combination before, so that was good, and the puzzles were engaging and fun. When one of the snake levels got difficult I wanted the option to go back and retry the sokoban part as I think if I did that in fewer steps the snake phase would be easier(?). But anyway - good job, this is a great entry.

Developer

Yeah I realised that would've been a nice feature on the last day or so but was desperately trying to finish the levels so it sadly never happened.

Thank you for playing! I really appreciate the feedback.

With all art assets created yourself you can be proud!  Puzzles were fun, the snake could be a bit more forgiving (maybe swap the first 2 levels?).  Congratulation on finishing a game like this!

Developer

Thank you so much. I know it's not the most exciting game ever but it was a really good learning experience.

I kinda agree on the first two levels, they got swapped a bunch of times before I published 😅

Thanks again for taking the time to play, much appreciated.

The puzzle levels were really well designed!
