Game Description
A person's heart is always filled with various thoughts, some positive and some negative. When positive thoughts dominate, the heart becomes calm, like the warm sun. When negative thoughts dominate, the inside becomes dark and damp like a rainy day. This game uses bubbles of different colors to simulate thoughts, and you can keep the sunshine in your heart by holding on to those positive thoughts.
How does your game tie into the theme?
A dark and negative heart is terrible and can cause great harm to a person's heart and life. People living in it want to escape from such a predicament all the time, but it often seems to be in vain. This game is intended to use a relatively relaxed form to simulate how people who are often troubled by negative thoughts can work hard to become optimistic and cheerful.

This was interesting! It took me a bit to get the hang of it, but it had a nice arcade-y vibe. It would be nice if there was a bit more of a progression or ending of some sort. Or maybe I just didn’t get to it, but it was unclear that anything new would happen if there is.
Regardless, I enjoyed the art and the unique connecting mechanic.

Oh, also, just to throw it out there. I wasn’t able to get this running on Linux due to a missing .pck file. I was able to run the Windows version via wine without a problem though.
I‘m glad you enjoy it! sorry for confuse you about lack of ending indicate. The game has no clear end is really my design fault. The game was designed for a 5-10 min experience , and I tunned up the starting difficulty to letting players experience everything as quick as possible. I will polish it follow up.

This is a really cute idea, and I had fun trying to avoid the chaotic movement of the negative energy. After a while it lost its edge, though. Maybe making the game get progressively harder would give it a more arcade-y feel? The goal could be to get a highscore by surviving longer or destroying more negative energy.

When it comes to the highscore, the original intention of this game is to show that when a person is affected by some negative thoughts, he strives to remain optimistic and sunny. Therefore, keeping the sunshine at the moment is the most important. But as a game, high score maybe a good choise, I will add one later on. Thanks again for your advice!
Ah, that makes sense. A score might have felt too game-y for what you were going for :)
I had another thought, maybe instead of the negative energy zipping past it should stay on the screen getting larger until it pops? It would give a bit more contrast between the negative thoughts that you dwell on and the happy moments that you sometimes fail to appreciate.
Indeed, now while negative thoughts can become heavier as they grow in size, in most cases the movement strategy is no different than positive thoughts and cannot make a difference. Your suggestion is very good, thank you!
