Beautiful game! I loved the theme, with the art and music fitting so well. It was a bit creepy and had to retry the last level a couple of times haha. It was fun to play, good job :D
Thank you so much for playing our game ! ๐ป๐ป
We are very lucky to have our artists and I'll share your nice comment with them :)
Love the art style on the octopus leg/wall whatever that cool thing is, the music and graphics really create a immersive experience, one of the best graphics in this jam IMO. Gameplay is little too simple for me. I had to figure out the hitbox myself, I think there could be hints at the beginning of the game. Overall, nice job!
Thank you so much for playing our game :) ๐ป๐ป
An additional thank you for your feedback, I will share your comments with the team during our post mortem!
Cool graphics, nice atmosphere. But it's walking simulator gameplay.
Cant fast pass intro scene, no fullscreen. The labels disappear too early!
Got a bug where i went into the corner and character disappeared.
Getting keys without damage is quite hard. The game graphics looks meditative but gameplay is not. Kind of a dissonance.
Noticed camera jittering. I solved it with character movement logic in physics process.

Your feedback will be shared with the team and thank you for finding a bug!
The Painterly pixel style is great. I failed to understand the game and died 8 times in the first room. I was wondering if I had to collect before a timer runs out, at the same time the piano plays the bass note, in order from top to bottom... only by reading the comments do I now realise the keys have a 'hurt' cycle. I admit I wasn't the most perceptive, but a sound effect and pushing the player back would have made a world of difference. Nice gameover screen, I got to see it a lot :)

Your feedback is duly noted, and will help us improve our games in the future! And a personal thank you for the game over screen! That was so much fun to make!
Like others mentioned, the atmosphere was great, one minor suggestion would be to tie the music into the game more by using some suitable sound effects. I am a bit confused as to what I am supposed to be doing, collected a few flames and opened one gate, but got lost off screen at one point

Great atmosphere. The game oozed with vibes. The artstyle worked really well with the game mechanics. The game over screen was really cool.
You've created a wonderful atmosphere. It was beautiful and haunting. The sound and art worked so well together. It took me a few tries to figure out how collecting the flames worked, but after that it was smooth sailing. The last level was challenging, but I was able to beat it. :) Great job!

Very happy to have the support of some amazing artists on our team, all the credit for the art goes to them. And I am glad you got to the end! Playtesting showed that the game was pretty difficult by the end, and if we had more time we would have made a more natural difficulty curve. Tale as old as time :)
Great atmosphere. Simply stunning graphics. The puzzle element was good, if a little confusing at times. Pressing the number keys... is that supposed to happen? Great game :)
Thank you for playing our game! ๐ป๐ป
To answer your question, pressing the number pad was a debug tool to test out each level. 0 goes to main menu, 1 goes to the mechanic testing room, 2 goes to level 1, etc. I could have removed it by the end, but everything else was working and I didn't want to accidentally make a significant change that would require another round of play testing at the very end of the project haha. So I left it in figuring the chances are low that someone would run into it. But you did so congrats on being the first!
Nice art and atmosphere ! Really inspiring.
Gameplay wise, I'm wondering if the hurt mechanics around the key could have been removed. On the third level (I stopped here), it was hard to distinguish when I could grab a key without loosing a heart. Also, it consumes times that is quite important when the beast follow you.

Your feedback is welcome and noted, we will definitely bring it up during our post mortem.
I loved the atmosphere, it paired well with the music. I enjoyed the names for the roles in the credits, too! Well done, and thanks for sharing!
