Game Description
Tetris with glitches!

How does your game tie into the theme?
It's a Tetris variant, but as you advance, more random glitches (i.e. malfunctions) can throw you off.

This is an obvious way to take the theme and a classic game and should have paid off - nice sound and graphics were solid enough.

But for some reason I felt it was too much like Tetris and left me bored (maybe too slow... not sure or maybe I was just not in the mood for Tetris) Sorry it was a good submission just didn't scratch my itch... wish I could provide better feedback

Good work! Mostly everything is well constructed here. The concept is interesting and fits the theme, but I feel that the execution is flawed. Tetris is such an incredibly precise game that taking away the player's ability to comfortably control the pieces makes the gameplay quite frustrating. Many of the glitches felt unfair and hindered my enjoyment of the game to the point that I eventually lost interest.

However, with more focus on making the glitches feel fair, this concept could really work! Perhaps before a glitch starts you could give a warning to the player? The glitchy look of the tiles when controls are flipped is a step in the right direction here.

Overall you all did a solid job here. Making something that works is 90% of the difficulty with these jams lol. Keep at it!

So, to be honest... I really didn't like the gameplay at all. It just made me rage-quit because when the "malfunctions" happen, it just takes complete control away from you. It's like playing chess, but there's a toddler that keeps knocking the pieces over and moving stuff around. Not trying to be mean, but it's just not very fun when the malfunctions happen. Other than that though, it's a good tetris clone. Decent graphics, good music, perfectly fine controls. The lowest ratings I gave were for Fun and Originality (originality because it's literally just a tetris clone with bugs done on purpose).

Thanks for making it though, and congrats on making a working game! Easily more polished than mine.

This game is pure evil! On my first run, believe it or not, the controls were so confusing for me that I didn't clear a row and rage dropped most blocks. Then I refocused, mastered the controls and.... found my first glitch! My face when the first blocks started disappearing....

Genius, and evil. Very very nice. I got a score of 370 and I've not idea what is par for this game!

Nice entry!! The idea is clear and simple, but you executed it greatly. The game art and the music are really solid, and the controls work smoothly - in their own way :P

However, I'm not really good at Tetris, and this one... was a hell for me :/ I felt like I lost any control, and the game was just responding randomly to my keys, and I wasn't able to understand which glitches were active and how to deal with them. Again, I suck at the original game, so my words are not statistically relevant, but just be aware that your game is pretty hard :)

Thanks a lot for your submission, and congratulations for your first Godot Wild Jam! :D

Whats up with the music?

What you mean bro? I thought the music was pretty good!

This is a cool idea and a creative take on the theme! I like how you don't immediately know exactly what each new glitch is affecting and have to notice it naturally (Like looking up and seeing the next piece UI start showing random blocks). The music is also surprisingly atmospheric and fun!

You start to lose me a bit once you introduce glitches that just remove certain controls for periods of time.  Removing player control is something I generally dislike in games. Maybe if there was a way to avoid or mitigate it somehow, I'd feel better about it?  Like if you don't clear a row in x number of pieces you can't rotate blocks for a few seconds, idk.

Regardless, great job! Especially for what seems like your first game jam entry!

Yeah, good feedback. If we had more time, we'd probably replace the no-rotating and no-movement glitches with something else.

Otherworldly take on Tetris with incredibly transporting art and music. Success is to your peril in this version: the more you clear, the stranger the controls become, and it becomes survival of the fittest. Good job team!
