Fun little submission, glad Honey Pony pointed out what I was supposed to go backward. I was also confused by the "hit here", I was trying to go under and back up and everything else on the right...
Thanks for submitting - little bit of sound does wonders
It took a while to figure out that I had to go backwards to find the star... in fact, I didn't really think to do so until I saw the Mobius Loop wildcard was used. I'm also not sure I understood what HIT HERE meant.
I loved the devlog mechanic. It was extremely clever and quite novel to have some tutorialization told from this perspective -- like, learning about game mechanics from a conversation between developers is a kind of thing i don't think I've seen before.
I also liked the way the big spike block section worked--I never would have thought that I just randomly had a new infinite jump ability, but because the controls for movement also reversed, it made me think... aha! I might have some new jumping abilities as well! I think that part was quite well designed.
For the "HIT HERE" part, that was actually meant to say "HI THERE".
Sorry for the confusion, but thanks for responding! Sorry I wasn't able to get back to you sooner, though.
This premise feels a bit familiar haha. Good work, I like the writing. Could definitely use some sound though!
Fun game. Made me laugh. I think the meme requires I say: "Hello there"
