A nice little platformer game and well used theme & wildcards! I like the art style, the controls are quite self-explanatory and it feels like a little teaser for some more :)
Just one minor note: In my first run I was not 100% sure what to do or why I died, but I realized the goal of the game in my second run.
cool small game! I like the art style, and you managed to make the ui pretty self-explanatory. Similar to the other comments, I'd wish it was a bit longer, the difficulty curve could have been a bit more smooth this way :)
Nice platformer, liked the two difficulties especially as they seemed the same expect for the time between rain, then you realize the tilemap is different - with a couple trees missing -- took me a decent amount of time to beat the second one.
Only grip I have is it was fairly short would have liked to see checkpoints and a longer game - but understand the time constraints of a jam
Thank you! I originally was going to make two completely different levels, but I realized making the two levels nearly identical would make for an unexpected challenge. As for length, I absolutely planned to make it significantly longer - buuuuut I ended up getting distracted for the entire week and by the time I got back to working on it I basically had enough time to double-check it worked and then publish it to meet the deadline. Hopefully for my next project I can stay a little more motivated throughout the entire duration... Anyway, thanks for playing the game!
I really liked the graphics and the transition effects!
However, sadly I wasn't able to play properly: I start the level - with the first or the second button, I think there's no difference? - but any time it appears the cube, the rain washes me away despite everything I do. I suppose I'm doing something wrong, but... What do I need to do? Sorry!!
Yeah, I definitely should have made it a little more obvious how the rain works. I wanted to add a death animation, but by the time I thought of that it was already too late to add in a whole new animation. But to answer your question, the rain is blocked by trees and platforms, so you need to hide from the rain until it goes away. Perhaps something like a cutscene could have made that a little clearer, I'll consider that for my next project. Thanks for taking the time to play!
