graphics were really cool and all the animations were really smooth! I got the hang of the game at some point but i didn't know if i can ever finish it or if it just repeats forever. also the ai played random and didnt get any combos ever so you can't really lose.. but the actual mechanics of the game felt nice to play, controls could be improved tho.

Thanks for playing our game fkeys!

We really focused on the graphics on this one and we are glad you noticed ;-)

We take this input seriously and will apply your suggestions in a newer rendition

Thank you :DD

Sorry, I had no idea what I was doing so I could really only look at the game ;_;

The graphics and animations are solid, cards are very detailed. The tutorial didn't help me but maybe I misunderstood it. I tried watching the AI as well for a bit to see if there were moves I could do that they did but mine were always invalid trying to match them.

Developer

Hello SpaceScape,

Thanks for playing our game and we are glad you enjoyed the art!

We tried to make the AI easier and prone to mistakes but obviously that was a bold move xD.

Thank you again!!

Love the graphics but struggled with the game. I included it in my compilation video series for the Godot Wild Jam #56, if you’d like to check it out. :)

Developer

Hello Jupiter,

Thanks for playing our game and it is especially helpful to watch you play!

Sorry if the game was confusing, LOL. Glad you enjoyed the graphics :D

Cheers

The card system was really confusing for me and I ended up not doing more than the first level, but the graphics were awesome and I loved the commentary! Card games aren't really my thing so I withhold most judgement, but one thing that really stuck out to me was that it was very hard to read the card values with them being almost white on white. Maybe making the letters gold or something to stand out would help.

Really great work overall and very polished feeling!

Developer

Hello strutcode,

We appreciate your input, especially on the graphical interpretation on the cards.

We will trial and error in our next jams to come.

My first play through I was so confused about how I was suppose to get matches, but once I read the other comments about using the arrow key it all made sense. The next try I blew Jon out of the water :) I love the art choices and for a game jam everything looks really polished. I would have been great if the first part of the first round game walked you through the controls and gave you a dummy match just to reinforce the controls.

Hello Ckay,

We are glad you appreciated the art for this game.

I'm thinking we should have tossed the keys all together and made it a mouse game haha.

We will use your input in future games :D

Thank you for your input :)

It took me a minute to work out what I was doing but once I figured it out it was a lot of fun! Your sound design is great and I adore the artwork. Great submission!

Developer(+1)

Hello FrogAccount,

Thanks for your comments on the sound. We attempted to work harder on the graphics and sounds for this game and it came through!

Cheers my friend,

Played the first round and didn't understand a thing haha. Didn't realize you used the arrow keys to move and select cards.

Played the tutorial, but it didn't really taught me the controls, was sort of hoping for a quick guided run.

It's a fun game, but I wonder if the AI even scores, all the times I played it had zero points.

Developer

Hello Ernesto,

Thank you so much for your input. Next jam we will focus on getting the tutorial done earlier in the week xD.

We had scaled the AI and last minute the scaling just didnt work efficiently, but we will take your input for our future projects.

Cheers my friend,

It took me a few tries before I actually understood what the game was asking me to do, but once I did actually figure out how to play it was pretty fun. There are some pretty cool ideas you've got going on here! I like a lot of the art too. I think maybe making the first level significantly slower paced and easier would make the initial learning curve a lot smoother (Or maybe I just don't play enough card games lol).

Developer

Hello BeardedMan,

Thank you so much for your input, it helps a lot.

We may continue to work on this project in the future and maybe make it more scalable.

A better tutorial will help a ton.

All the best,
