Game Description
You play as a cat that has a dream to have a robot friend. A pretty uninspired game, but I've mostly used it to work on some game design concepts I wanted to get better at!

How does your game tie into the theme?
You must explore around town to help assemble a robot.

Really nice pixel art, sound effects, and music! The game may be short and simple but I enjoyed the ride while it lasted. Nice job!

Hey, wow! This is pretty good! I like you art, and the gameplay isn't bad! I kind of like boring games, though.

Also, dialogue and dialogue events? I don't understand how you finish those for a jam. I always struggle and then have to bail. :)

I used this for the textbox:

As for any management of text, it's just a lot of if statements checking a global dictionairy for the state of each item. Not really scalable and the code is a mess to look at, it kind of held me back from having any complex conversations. For example, I wanted you to have to quell a lovers spat between the two people, but I ran out of time trying to figure out how I would manage all the possibilities of the player talking to them in different orders.

Huh. That makes sense. I know that there are a lot of dialogue editors out there, which help you manage game dialogue: yarn spinner, twine, etc. I've never used one, but I know they're supposed to help.

Well done!

Cute little game. Short, sweet and to the point. Graphics were super well done within the 4 color palette.

Simple and straightforward, I really liked it. Love the music and the art style.

My cat genuinely started searching in my desk, thinking I have a cat inside after pressing z way too much. A Charming entry , well done !

What a splendidly charming game! Awesome job! I thoroughly enjoyed the 'Z' to meow mechanic. Was lots of fun singing along to the music. Such a nice touch! Great job :D :D

I like how the meowing is in key with the music so you can use the cat as the lead instrument.

I really love the art and music! Cute game!

I liked this! I think it's pretty clever and only have a few tips: for one, make sure to add WASD to your keyboard inputs (in addition to the arrows), as those will hit a much wider audience these days. Secondly, there's some visual tearing going on due to your tilemap, and typically you can fix that by turning on GPU Pixel Snap in the project settings. Overall, great music and I thought it was very endearing! Or encatting, as it were!

> fix that by turning on GPU Pixel Snap

THANKS SO MUCH. That had been annoying me!

5/5 you can meow. Honestly this is really wholesome and the graphics look great.
