Awesome! I really liked the game! The game is quite hard but it is expected. I didn't make it to the end but I am looking forward to actually reaching it.

Developer(+1)

Thank you) Good luck with the passage of the game!

Really good, nice music,  couldn't finish level 16, curious at the implication of a divine hierarchy of shapes,  took me an embarasing amount of time to figure out you can zoom and change the camera. Looking quite polished.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for the feedback) Yes, 16 level is not easy, I agree with this. And I'm really sorry that I didn't have time to add tutorial as planned

Very dark game. If I was in a happier place, I'd probably be able to appreciate how dark it is, better. Also, you like trolling people with main menu buttons, eh? :-)

I really liked the visuals and overall aesthetic. The icon was very enticing to click on. The style and theme was well executed on.

Levels did get a bit tedious, so I tried out one of the secrets, but then found I was missing a piece for one of the alters, and had no ability to level select to go to a prior level. So this is the furthest I got. Hopefully not a spoiler, but I can remove the image if it is.

"Submitted... 11 seconds before the deadline." I'm glad you made it! Great submission!

Thank you for the extended review! I'm glad that you liked the game, and it's great that you managed to find one of the many secrets) Please rate the game if you haven't already, thanks ^^

I have a day or two ago, I came back to try a secret and leave feedback. I know how it is watching that ratings counter though! :-D

Developer

Ok, got it)

Wow this is very polished and impressive. I saw a bit of it on stream, all the extra tasks which I might not have looked for ordinarily. Having seen some of that I just concentrated on the main levels. Made it to 16 but couldn't work it out.

One suggestion I do have would be to not scale the objects when you pick them up. It does look nice, but for me just adds unnecessary difficulty when trying to place them back very precisely. :)

Overall, unbelievable polish and amount of content. Congrats on an awesome one!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I myself did not immediately beat level 16 yesterday, it just needs the utmost accuracy in placing items. But the worst thing is the last level, where you have to place all the items and hold out for 5 seconds... I made almost a thousand attempts, and once I missed 0.9 seconds T_T
As for scaling items, yes, I'm aware that it doesn't work as well as it looks, sorry ^^'

The sprites here are really good! A bit creepy? Well, yes, but that's the intent right? The take on the theme was very well executed too.

Couldn't get past level 16, and I tried a lot haha I think I might've missed some kinda of trick or something 😅

Very interesting take on the "balance items" interpretation, presented with a characteristic and consistent visual style, humor and charm. Full of surprises, and I didn't even get that far.

My one complaint is that it wasn't clear to me that the brick you can balance stuff on is a brick you can balance stuff on. I thought it was a hole/slot in the wall for me to put stuff in or something like that, and spent a while confused. Then again, perhaps I missed a part of the description or dialogue.

Seriously impressive stuff.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, I have clarity issues because I didn't have time to do the tutorial. Fortunately, at least the controls in the game are simple thanks to the interface. I use the experience gained to improve my work)

Ah, I see you’re a fellow enjoyer of RigidBody2D-powered fruits :D

Original and fitting theme well, great pixelwork, creepy music, kittens, and more levels than my short attention span allows - a very solid entry, marvelous job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the rating and feedback) At the stage of game design, I didn’t even suspect that funny compositions could be made from items :/) As for the levels, they are not the main thing here, most of the content is a lot of secrets ;)

Submitted

lovely jam game, the text, visuals and music you made really create an atmosphere!

i gave up on level 20.

Developer(+1)

Thank you) In fact, you reached the end, so it's very cool!

Man, this game is absolutly wild. And it has p...cats in them haha.

Super polished and the amount of content here is very impressive. I made it to level 14 and discovered a bunch of secretes, but i know you made at least 20 levels. Maybe the only critique point i have is that it's too long for a jam game.

Love the creepy vibes as well. Very well done, congrats!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback) It's cool that you went so far and found the secrets ;) Yes, the game could be shorter, but the player can close it at any time, so it's okay. There were a lot of ideas for mechanics (turning items, glue, magnets, etc.), but in the end it only left a large number of useless levels, haha

This game's crazy good in all aspects. There is something unsettling about the creepy lore mixed in with the pastel colors and you absolutely nailed the horror you were going for.

As for the puzzles, what is the intended way to stack them? Is it possible to make the tower completely stable? For the later levels I just nudged the top objects around and hoped that they would somehow land in just the right to survive the timer. I made it to level 20 and got overwhelmed but given you barely made the deadline I think that's understandable. I also admit that it took me a while to figure out that you could zoom out, so I spent a couple minutes being confused at the level with the huge dude.

Also I totally got rickrolled the DLC was cool. All in all, this is excellent and great job!

Developer

Wow, thanks for the great review man! To be honest, I'm not sure how to win this game myself, it's too unstable even for me. Moving top items is a good tactic) At level 20 (the last one) I freaked out due to lack of time and just added almost all the items lol. I'll try to complete the game sometime later and hope I succeed. As for the controls in the game, I had a tutorial planned, but I didn't have time to add it( Glad it was fun to play :>

Crazy game! The polish and amount of levels are super impressive. The art and world building is also incredible. I am stuck on Level 16.

You've created an incredible, creepy atmosphere. It reminds me a lot of Inscryption in its tone. Fantastic entry!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you! Work on the details was not in vain, heh. I'm sorry that the game is difficult in places, but I only had a few minutes left before the deadline when I added the last levels. And yes, it also reminds me of "Inscryption", I was trying to achieve a similar atmosphere)

Submitted

I think you nailed it. Atmosphere was superb (Inscryption is a 10/10 game for me). :)

Submitted

Cute game! Love the cat animations and the failure voice. The amount of small details is also amazing.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you liked the game)

You are an evil genius. This is all. Enjoy your inevitable winner's medal!

Developer

You flatter me, the game is quite raw) Perhaps I will take up its revision when I have a rest

Submitted (1 edit)

Ooh, one of the best ones for me, i really enjoyed the horror vibe to it and the animations. The story is very original and it adds a lot to the whole game.

I woke up some of the cats though :(

Developer

Thanks for the feedback) I think the cats were not very offended 🌸

I like it! The physics become very unstable when stacking a lot of objects which makes it end up being near impossible. I gave up on level 20 after 70 attempts. More physics solver iterations and/or a smaller time step would go a long way toward making this more playable.

With that said, the graphics are absolutely fantastic. I love how smooth the animations are and the generally unsettling feel of the whole thing. A+ on that! The dialogue was also quite entertaining, although admittedly part of that was my childish amusement at the cats being called pussies.

Really well executed, very polished and definitely a contender for best game!

Developer (2 edits)

Thanks for the extended review! I created all the levels on the last evening and couldn't test everything, so the physics do sometimes behave badly, even though I set it to 120 FPS. At level 20 (the last one) I freaked out due to lack of time and just added almost all the items lol. I didn't test the game personally, so I'm glad it's possible to complete it) As for the graphics, on the last day I also worked on post-processing, but, unfortunately, when exporting, it crashes the game (this is how it looked: https://imgur .com/gallery/mcEAoXG). I was very lucky that for some reason this problem does not exist in HTML5 and nothing crashes. I was under a lot of stress and barely managed to submit the game with 11 seconds left in the deadline. I hope solving puzzles and looking for secrets was fun ^^

This is a cool take on the concept. You could have just had a simple balance the objects game but you guys added so much more!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback) I worked on it alone ^^
