Like was previously mentioned, the PS1-style aesthetic was indeed quite neat to see again. The hardest part for me I think was wanting more visual feedback of my actions accomplishing something. It was quite hard to tell what I was doing. I think just making that change alone would vastly alleviate confusion.
Thanks! I will definitely make the edit/change when I revisit this.
Honestly I had no idea what i was doing...lol.
ha! no sweat. thanks for giving it a try
I liked the camera animations and providing a different perspective. It made it seem as something important was happening.
I was not sure what to do, so I just sent the guy from building to building. Perhaps an indication of the objective would have helped.
Glad you enjoyed my attempt at dramatic camera work, and I know I dropped the ball concerning clear objectives. Tunnel vision
peace!
I LOVE the graphical aesthetics in this game, the dynamic camera angles are awesome albeit a little confusing sometimes. Maybe it's just too chaotic for my tiny brain :D I also wasn't exactly sure what I was doing. Overall a great submission! I hope this doesn't get rated down too hard for the confusing controls and objective because it's really a nice game. I had a lot of fun :)
Thank you for the kind words!
I agree the camera swap needs work, thanks for playing.
The game looks charming, you nailed the aesthetics imo.
The gameplay is a little bit confusing at first but I like it once you get the hang of it.
Good job!
Thank you!
Have some more time for thoughts.
I like the PS1 style graphics. They seem to be making a comeback as a good compromise between high fidelity of today and the pixel art that was the norm in the birth of gaming.
I thought the UI was a little hard to read, as I only saw it when I was moving from building to building. Because of that, I think it was hard to understand what was going on.
Thank you for doubling back. The final ui wasn't ideal, I failed to implement a 'look at active camera' mechanic.
I also dig the low poly style revival, i think it's mostly happening naturally/from necessity.
Peace!
This one probably needs an epilepsy warning for the title card. Anything rapidly changing like that can cause issues.
good note. thanks!
