The mix of styles is a bit of a hodge-podge! But obviously a lot of creativity went into this.
Wow, timeeeeee! Your Heartsbeat game was awesome...the stethoscope to spy on hearts was ingenious.
Do you share your code? I'm assuming the cards came from Kenney, and I'm curious how you laid them all out for the game. I have been wanting to build a bridge game using Godot for my friends and I to play remotely.
Thanks for the recognition...it means a lot to me. Yes, everytime I rewatch the video, my little Grey Heart feels like he had some tomato paste, and I dream of Cheri Tomato.
Still planning to work on Heart Today Gone Tomato, and merge with Action RPG
I would love to hear your input, and see if...perhaps...*shyly*...see if you might want to work together on the next jam?
;-)
That is a super nice message :) I just uploaded my project to github https://github.com/timeeeee/Heartsbeat/. I'm pretty new to game programming so I don't know if I did any of this the best way! But I was pretty content with the approach - nodes to mark positions on the table, and lots of yielding so I could script the gameplay in chronological order. I'd be happy to talk about it, if you think it would help you out.
I think it would be great to work together on the next jam. Do you use discord? (If so I'm timeeeee #0113)
Nifty! I have been looking through all your code...so neat and tidy. ;-)
I am HanumanjiYogi#7647 on Discord, and just sent you a Friend Request.
Looking forward to some more Godot with you!

Hi!
So game is in incomplete state right?
I tried possibly every way to do something in the game and it gives similar result so game is incomplete or I'm missing something.
It's your first gamejam right? Don't worry about critical feedback! Each time you will be better and better.
I hope to see more of your games in the future! See you in next jam!
Thank you so much, JestemStefan.
Yes, it was my first Godot Wild Jam, and yes, we had the idea, we made the video through a number of iterations, and I tried to make some game play...and then...things...just............s....l....o....w.......e..........d...............down.
And this is what is left at the end! Yet I still turn to it for inspiration, and I truly love the story of Grey Heart and Cheri Tomato.
Stay tuned for more adventures with them!
Development is ongoing on Gitlab...the next big issue is to merge with Action RPG
Let me know if you'd like to see anything in particular, or would like to help with the story of Grey Heart and Cheri Tomato!
;-)
Yh loved the story but just what Griddolini said i genuinely didn't know what to do, i touched every coloured box but never progressed. Love the split screen mechanic and the concept is pretty cool just would be nice with some ui elements to explain what to do.
Yes, there were many ideas planned, but...well..first game jam and all that!
Thanks so much for the feedback. I am grateful for you taking the time to look at the submission.
You should be able to hit any of the boxes and the entranceway to the house to go into a room, and then click the generator in the room to get back out. So there were to be a number of those rooms, with walls to block them coming together...
But alas! It all did not come together at all! :-)
I liked the little intro video :) Wasn't entirely sure what to do after that. My heart and tomato both met up but nothing really happened, besides touching anything would teleport me to that room where you press a button. I did that a bunch but couldn't find anything else to interact with. That split screen effect when the characters are apart was pretty sweet.
Thanks so much for taking a look at the submission!
Yes, the intention was some walls and more rooms and then the final moment of them touching and ta-da!
Yet we didn't get very far...so much was learned, and I imagine we have a much better idea of how things will play out in the future.
