The narration here is very nice, and having to time your movements around your heartbeats is a clever mechanic. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks John! 😁

I really like the atmosphere here, especially the audio.

I did notice that the voice lines can sometimes overlap, making things a bit chaotic (in particular, I died for the first time to the fourth mine , triggering one line in the middle of a longer one).

Developer

Thank you for playing and providing feedback! Ah yeah that is indeed a problem, but normally that is the only point that could happen, the others are spaced far enough 😊

Very pleasant to play, and great writing and voice. The game as a nice consistent overall aesthetic and controls and gameplay feel fluid and enjoyable. I liked the integration of the heartbeat theme and the ability to sneak by enemies between beats is clever.

Developer

Thank you for playing sebjugate! I’m glad you liked it πŸ€—

I like this maze game. Not too hard, and I was able to get to the secret area by triggering a mine to jump over me. It took me a while to figure out what was making them jump, but once I figured it out it was pretty easy.

Developer

I’m glad you liked it! It was more meant as an experience, so the fact that you breezed through it is ok 😁

I think I'll have nightmares... thank you

:D nice game

Developer

No problem, the nightmares are complementary πŸ˜‚ Thanks for playing!

A soothing experience. The minefield was great.

Thanks for open-sourcing it. To anyone who finds the minefield difficult - alter the source code :D

Developer

You are the first to like the minefield hahaha 😁 Thank you for playing and no problem for open-sourcing the code, I hope somebody out there finds it helpful!

Man, that mine field is serious stuff. Was smooth sailing until I reached that. And then I kept charging in and dieing quickly- those little death sounds were starting to sound a bit, uh, odd hahahah

Fun game overall from the portion I managed to get through. Great voice acting. I would of liked to have the mines be a tiny bit slower. But it was still fun. ^^

Developer(+1)

Hahaha sorry for it getting awkward over there πŸ˜… You are right, slower mines could have made the minefield a lot easier, definitely I should have done that, oh well too late now πŸ˜› Thank you for playing and providing feedback, I very much appreciate it!

yours is the rare game I had to finish.  It was really satisfying.  I didn't read the hint to time heartbeats against obstacles until too late, it made everything make a lot more sense.

That voice is like butter.

Developer

Hey Ssilenuss thanks for playing and the feedback! I think I could have made the sound mechanic more clear to the player in some way in the game itself, oh well. Thanks for finishing! 😁

Awesome, I really felt something with that narration. Great game, well put together. Had a hard time with the minefield, but it was good all round!

Developer(+1)

Awesome that you liked it! I’m glad you appreciated the narration, I’m definitely going to try that again, off course with the right type of voice for the game. Thanks for checking it out and providing feedback! 😁

your game was amazing, wonderful narrative, love the little secret that i found  great stuff, the field of mines was very difficult, i tried like 25 times before i just gave up. otherwise great stuff, visually beautiful

Developer

Thanks for playing and giving feedback GhostBit! Maybe I should have balanced that bit a little better πŸ˜… some people just seem to be able to run through it and get to the end no problem πŸ˜›

Awesome, well done mate! Thanks for returning and giving it another shot, very much appreciated! πŸ€— yeah the minefield may be too hard too early on, should have seen that coming…
