Cool game! I like the art and the music. Dashing had a very satisfying noise. I would maybe make the player move a little bit faster. The levels are big, which is cool, but I'd like to be able to speed through them while I dash and shoot.

I really like the AI and animation for the enemies that hover and charge at you!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I originally intended to make the player slower at the start and then give faster speed upgrades to make the power up more noticeable, but I suppose i didn't add enough of those. towards earlier levels.

I enjoyed playing this. I like the added depth from looking for and swapping out upgrades. Although I regretted picking up the shotgun as I felt the previous weapon was a lot better - would be cool if you could cycle through weapons.

I think the game would have benefited a lot from a bit of visual feedback e.g. when you pick up items (swap body parts). Maybe something that adds difficulty like limited ammo. Also, the music makes it hard to hear the sound effects - a bit of adjustment maybe.

The variety of items were really cool and made me want to play more (especially to see if any further guns). I think you did well in making this fun, good job :)

Developer

Being able to cycle between parts would be an interesting feature! I wasn't 100% sure on how to increase the difficulty of the game without making it unfun and audio volume was a little tricky to handle. Thanks for the feedback!

Very cool game, the spread shot was my fav weapon, the final boss was a bit too easy but still it was fun.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I unfortunately didn't have enough time to flesh out the boss fight and make it be a little more interesting.

There's a lot of variety in enemy types, some of them are very interesting(the little jumping guy?), some of them less so(like the spiders for example). The game is a bit too slow for my taste, I think making it a bit more dynamic would improve the fun factor.
You've done a great job though, especially for your first(published :)) game jam.

Developer

I'll be sure to take game dynamics into account next time, thanks!

Good game concept. I loved the music, and the "land the space ship" thing at the start of the levels. Congratulations, mate, you have a good entry on your first jam, for sure.

Catchy theme (though it could start at a lower volume), very clean art, I liked the character animations and the power-up system, I like the fact that you can miss them if I'm correct, the enemies are great, the slime guy with a sword gave a hard time, the levels are too big for its own good but that's a minor complaint, my major complaint would be the jumping gaps at level3!! if every time I fail a jump I have to rewalk an empty level it's not fun at all, anyway really liked the game, still have to beat the boss.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Volume was a little tricky, since my current headphones aren't working properly. I agree about the gaps, it was a bit of a mistake to sacrifice a flashy entrance for a boring walk back up. Glad you liked the game!
