I like the animations, it felt very slow walking but running solves it.

I really like the art you got done for the game! Have you thought about making the characters walk a little bit faster? It was really hard to catch some of the falling clothes.

Really well done for your first game jam! You got a lot done!

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it.

The characters have two speeds, if you refine the Shift they run.

To increase the speed I would have to change the animation, I find it easier to make the clothes fall more slowly.

Submitted(+1)

Oh, that makes sense! I missed the shift key when I was playing!

Hey,

nice little game you made, really like it. played and rated.

Only small remark I have, the movement of the bigger boy was a bit off, he should walk faster so it doesn't looks like he is moonwalking.

please feel free to play and rate my game:

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing.

I was almost running out of time to deliver, I was unable to do some concerts that were missing.

The bigger boy was supposed to be the father, I think I should put a mustache on him.

I want to play all the games on this jam.

Unfortunately I couldn't play the game either, sorry :-(
I'll follow and if you ever get this fixed I look forward to playing :-)

Developer(+1)

I fixed the screen problem, but I think I will only be able to update the game after the voting period.

Submitted(+1)

I look forward to that :-)

I put the source code on github, the dist folder is there. The link is in the game description on that page.

Your character animations.... wow! How did do those? Was it using the skeleton system in Godot? Enjoyed all the mini games. Great job all around!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it.

For the animations of the characters I used DragonBones Pro and for the game I used a modified version of Godot 3.2.2 with the dragonbones module already compiled.

The animations are very good in this tool, you can do some cool things like changing Slots or merging animations. Note that the idle animation goes to the walk animation without blinking the character.

Artwork is fantastic guys, I can see why you are forcing us to playing in a high-ish resolution. My monitor was just able to fit it as well. :)

Mini-games are nice and simple -- reminds me of the mad rush as a kid to get chores done before my Mum got home.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing.
I don't know this game (mad rush), but the idea was exactly that, doing the chores before your mom got home.
The idea of making several mini games I got from the game WarioWare Gold, that's why my game name.

Submitted(+1)

Oh I meant "mad rush" in my personal life. When I was a kid (it's not a video game). :)

I had the same problem with the display at first, but it worked when I plugged in my big monitor.

I like where you were going with the mini games - fun and you can add lots more if you wanted to release a beta! It would also be cool if you add audio and perhaps more interaction with the different family members! I liked petting the dog :) The art was my favourite part - well done!

Developer

I have to solve this problem with the monitor, it didn't even cross my mind to use a lower resolution.

The idea was to fill the house with minigames that you should do before your mom gets home. Each character would have three minigames and the player would have to switch characters to make.

I had a tight time, I almost didn't deliver the game, I couldn't add the ambient audios, neither the music nor the sounds of footsteps.

The house was supposed to have more rooms and there would be a small dialogue with the father explaining to the children that the mother was almost there and that they should run to finish the tasks.

Sounds like good ideas! Looking forward to playing any updates/future games :)

I played your game and everything works fine on my PC.

Mini games are simple and what is the most important They works.

Art/visuals are nice. Where did you get those sprites?

Great job for the first Game Jam!

Would you like to rate our game?

Developer

Thanks for playing.

The style of the characters I found on google searching for "spriter boy", after that I drew all the characters on Krita, animated on DragonBones Pro and used this modified version of Godot.

I plan to play all games.

Unfortunately I can't play because my screen size is smaller than yours and the game does not resize when you resize the window. I get to see only the head of the girl in a blue background. Tried jumping and managed to see the full sprite, so the art seems very well done and the controls are very responsive. But can't play. And when I tried closing it I got a crash message about Godot Dragonbones Engine. Is this a version of Godot?

Developer

The question of monitor resolution didn't even cross my mind, once I learned how to resize the screen, I handkerchief a new version.

This message is from a modified version of Godot 3.2.2, it contains the DragonBones Pro module installed. It was with this tool that I made the animations of the characters.

Developer

I fixed the screen problem, but I think I will only be able to update the game after the voting period.
