Cool game, i like the artstyle in general, and the music puts the game in a nice chill mood, i like the weird stretchy face elevator things and i like the dashing orbs as a mechanic.

Some small issues, i felt the controls were a bit on the heavy side, the orange crystal mechanics feel a bit unprecise at times since they are sometimes in places where you feel you can't jump high enough to reach but upon more tries can reach but not constantly. At some point i couldn't figure out where to go so i couldn't complete the game :(

Other than that, to be honest the game is good, i like the "lost in a strange unknown place" vibe you have going on here, and i like the scale in the sense that you do feel quite small in this jungle cave place and have these crystals and unexplained faces and orbs everywhere ^^

For a first jam it's quite good, no major issues that can't be fixed with just a bit of tweaking or rebalancing.

So congrats on that :)

You're the first to feel the feeling of being lost in this strange forest, I'm so happy about that ^^

Thank you for all the feedbacks, I've taken notes.

Sad you didn't reach the end eventually, but you have had a good time and this is for me the essential

This was very nice, a huge level to explore with multiple implementations of the main mechanics you made, picking up the crystal, the dash, and the expanding heads. I really thought I was finished only to be greeted by more difficult platforming sections!

The controls sometimes were a bit floaty, and jumping too soon when on the heads sure gave me some frustration, but they clicked eventually. The last dash section, where you need to move from the head to reach the platform where the crystal placement is, is one I had to retry several times, as it's very sensitive to the head being as high as possible when you make the dash. I feel placing this one a bit closer would have been nice, as the challenge of the section was not really in that last jump.

Really loved the tileset and sprites you made for the jam!

Thank you for your comment !

About the last jump... I know the timing was tight, but I wanted the player to have a final challenge, a kind of "boss  jump". Anyway, I'm glad you appreciated my game globally :)

Game looks and sounds great. I had an issue with resolution size too. I still managed to play it though, I had enough I could see. The orbs on the bottom were a great additional touch. I felt that learning what to do was intuitive but it never hurts to cater to all. I didn't get to complete, there was a jump I couldn't figure out. Overall great job!

Thank you !

I guess the jump you didn't succed was the last one. I've made him especially to add a bit of challenge ;)

Every fine in this game. Many really good gameplay solution like spheres at the ground that speed you up when you failed with the jump. And lift platforms are well-animated. I can't imagine how long it took to put all this platforms and spheres in correct places. I enjoyed playing.

Thank you !

Love the art, movement of the character and other objects in the game are smooth, and the music / sfx fit the game very well. My only complaint is that WASD controls don't seem to work properly - I can't jump with W. I have to hold the Fn key to use my arrow keys so it's a bit hard for me to move. Anyways, I still enjoyed it and had fun :)

Developer(+1)

Yeah WASD forget that x)

Glad you had fun with it

I really like the way you introduce the mechanics! It's definitely a show don't tell type of thing, which I appreciate. Great job on the music and art as well. I also like those nice quality of life improvements like the boosters at the bottom for quickly getting back to the start of the puzzle. None of the puzzles felt too long either.

If I had one suggestion it would be to make the walk speed just a _little_ faster. I almost gave up on the last puzzle because you have to walk off the last blobby dude at just the right time or running distance or something. I think a little more leniency there wouldn't take away from the challenge but would be a bit more forgiving.

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it^^

The music is awesome in this game and I love the art style. Though I couldn't get any keys but D to work. Am I missing something?

Developer

Well... the game has been made in ZQSD. But you can also play with a controller or the arrow keys.

I couldn't play. I see the title screen but nothing I press changes anything. And it was designed for a bigger screen than mine and doesn't resize, so I can't see everything

Developer

I can't do anything for the size, but the menu got TextureButton, and therefore need a mouse to work.

You can select in the Project Settings what happens when you resize the window (Project Settings->Display->Window->Stretch). You can either hide parts (disabled), shrink/expand resizing all objects (2d), or shrink/expand resizing the rendered image (viewport, which will pixelize it like resizing a normal image). And in Aspect you can select which one to keep correct: height or width. Height usually works best for me, so in widescreen monitors you get extra space in the sides instead of hiding top and bottom parts

Developer

Thanks for the tips

I really like the color palette chosen, I feel like i'm going on a walk through the forest! I couldn't get through the game on my playthrough, I got to a door that I couldn't figure  out how to open.

Developer

I want the player to figure by himself what he has to do (he is not without any clue though). I continue to wonder if it was too much to ask for the player. Thank you for your feedback :)

Spoiler :

If you want to enjoy the rest of the game, connect the two red crystals together

I reach my sister! You had so many nice touches in the game, like having the orbs at the bottom to help you get back to the start of a section faster. Just overall lots of polish. Really enjoyed... pretty much the whole thing!

Thank you! ^^
