A good 3D platformer! You managed the camera system pretty well. It's simple, clean and clear! I'd be proud creating a game like this one day :)
Thank you! Keep learning step by step, and you can do even better I am sure :)
Fun game here. Didn't manage to complete it but it was very humourous. Live-streamed on my channel here part 8 and 9: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0NOIB5QFaVeBY2ECAtt_hg
This game hit a bit of a sweet spot for me, since I love early fifth-generation games and all the weird ways they tried to make 3D platforming work, and the camera/movement controls here are very reminiscent of that era. However, I'm afraid I didn't really care for the forest segment: the time limit just felt like a way to force the theme into the game, to its detriment.
Thank you for your review and kind words :)
Yes, I agree that I struggled a bit with the theme and slapped on the timer because of that.
So much fun! The whimsical idea worked perfectly with the music even though it got a little repetitive hearing the one looping track. I got to 8 golden eggs in the forest section, but I either missed a jump-button or I am not good enough at exploration :)
All in all a good submission!
Love the quirky artstyle, and the rolling mechanic was surprisingly fun! The timed section was pretty tedious, having to restart so often, but getting all of the golden eggs was satisfying nonetheless.
I like the lo-fi 3d models, environments, and your player's animations. Performance was kinda spotty, especially near the fireplace.
Thank you for letting me know about performance issues. It must have been the moving Omnilight, the Particles or a combination of the two that causes trouble!
I got error messages for the linux build. If anyone could test that and leave a comment, it would be great!
Ran on Linux, had a few issues with performance, but no crashing or anything like that.
