This jam is now over. It ran from 2025-10-02 04:00:00 to 2025-11-03 22:59:00. View 4 entries

EDIT: By popular demand, the deadline is extended by a week! hopefully that will let everyone time to finish their work and not be too stressful. I hope everyone is having fun on their project, and don't forget that your project is editable at all time: it is very ok to make a first version for the bundle and to make updates later. Anyone who buy the bundle (or your zine individually) at more than 1$ will have access to the updated versions too!

Welcome to the first edition of the Gobzine Fest!

This jam is unlisted and unranked, it is only a mean to gather everyone's submission to create a bundle later that we will sell with shared profit. Please Do not share this page.

How does it work:

- Create and setup your itch.io account if you don't already have one. Please make sure you use a mail address that you check regularly.
- Create a project page for your zine, with the price of your choice. People will be able to buy your zine independently from the bundle!
- Submit the project to the jam

You can submit any amount of zine to the jam/bundle, but the profit will be equally shared among participants.

The bundle will be sold on a Pay What You Want Basis. This means that people will be able to download the bundle for free, but will need to spend at least 1$ to claim it on their itch account and be able to re-download it later. In my experience, this model tends to sell more than set prices on bundles.

Once the jam ends, or when everyone has submitted, whichever comes first, I will create a bundle including all the zine submitted in the jam. YOU WILL BE ASKED BY MAIL TO CONFIRM YOUR PARTICIPATION TO THE BUNDLE. EVERY ONE NEED TO APPROVE OF THE BUNDLE FOR IT TO GO LIVE.

The confirmation step will allow you to confirm:
- That you are participating in the bundle
- That the bundle will be at 0$ (it does not change the price of your individual zine if you set one)
- That you're ok with the description of the bundle I will have written
- The dates the bundle will run
- The percentage of revenue you will get on any profit. This will be determined by the itch.io function "share equally", but itch doesn't handle decimals in percentages so there might be a 1 percent point of difference between participants.

The bundle will be live for a month, I will ask that you help in promoting it in your channel of choice at least once a week, I will provide promo assets and posts to share on bluesky and tumblr to help but you are free to use what you want (And I won't actually check whether you do it or not, but the more we promote it the better it will work)

I hope this will allow the bundle and our art to be shared more freely, and to be accessible for people especially with currencies much weaker than the dollar. Community copies are sadly not available for bundles.

I hope this is all ok for you and that you will participate in this small event, if you have any question and/or need any help in any part of the process, feel free to contact me through the usual channel or to shoot me an email at tookin[at]disroot[dot]org, I will do my best to help!

Can't wait to see your creations =)
