How does your submission match the theme?
Snaktl fits the jam's theme since each game mechanic has at least two purposes. Shooting kills both enemies and their bullets. Enemies endanger the player, but also drop pellets. Killing enemies increases your score and protects you. Pellets fully heal your body and add another segment. Your body protects you from bullets, multiplies your score, but also serves as a navigation hazard. And your head is where bullets come from, but if you get hit there, its game over.

I agree with everything that Tsun said, but I would also like to add that that enemies spawned pretty much right on top of me far too often, to the point that I often felt like my death wasn't my own fault.

That being said, I really like the idea that body length = score multiplier, since a longer body means more points but more difficult navigation, an effective risk-versus-reward scenario.

Unfortunately, I felt the gameplay and graphics to be lackluster. But for your first game, I think it has a lot of potential.

Pretty interesting twist on the snake formula.

I think it's somewhat ill balanced though, the arena gets very quickly cramped and the fact that enemies are shooting bullets everywhere makes it very difficult to maneuver.

Since the game is 3D, I think tilting the camera just a little bit could give the game a little bit of extra character, perhaps making the camera orthogonal would help too.
