How does your submission match the theme?
The primary dual purpose design in RecoilR is that your means of traversal is the recoil of your gun which of course also serves as your weapon . Of course there are others like how health restoration is linked to combo killing enemies, the combo system also effects your score and your score in addition to being a secondary objective of trying to get a high score also serves as currency in the shop.

Challenging game. I included it in my Game Maker Toolkit’s Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
This was fun, but the boss was too hard for me. When you get used to the game it essentially becomes a more advanced flappy bird :D
