It's fairly intuitive, and I like the Cult of the Lamb-esque cute-eldritch presentation. Overall pretty fun, even though I'm shocked I only got 2 stars for my 500 hearts!

Developer

Thank you for playing! You'll get 3 hearts next time!

pretty fun and simple gathering mechanics! It's thought on the score but I am not complaining too much, good work

This game have really unique idea and i haven't seen a second in the jam, and the combination of the assets are great and they present a chill vibe before what ever that hairy monster is, and the atmosphere changed completely after it arrived, really enjoyable, but how to get three stars?

Wonderful game! As someone who usually finds strategy games to be overwhelming I fell like you've struck a good balance between complexity and accessibility. Good job!

i love the UI of this. i don’t play many idle games, but i thought the design of the different countdowns as circles the workers rotate on is really unique and intuitive. plus, being able to scroll in/out was a huge plus. the gameplay already felt super polished & the little QoL details really bring it up a level. great job!

Amazing idle game! I really enjoyed my time playing, and the music matched the game's vibe really well.

This is a very unique game and one of the most interesting ones I’ve played in this jam!

If you're looking for more games to play and rate, we'd love to get your thoughts on ours too.

This game had a satisfying core loop and I feel like there is a bigger idea nested in here that can be expanded... awesome work!

Developer

Thank you! I think there's a bigger idea there too!

Awesome game, simple and addictive. Love the art style and the sound design, Would do a great mobile game. Good job!

One of my favorites this jam, great job.

The mobile-game approach to choosing difficulty and how to play a game is a big boost to a jam game, thanks for that. There's a good amount of overlap in the core design of our submissions - idler with exploration/skill tree being treated as a map. You just executed on it with so much better simplicity! The narrative of why am I doing pays off a little bit at the end, but could have used some foreshadowing. Spooky music was a surprise choice for a menu then going into a western theme.

I thought the same thing when I played yours and drew some inspiration for future updates.

>> could have used some foreshadowing

Thank you for this. I am considering more narrative elements throughout the gameplay.

>> Spooky music was a surprise choice

That music was in the game early as I was still ideating and I never went back and changed it. As the game evolves, I will surely change it.

Thanks again!

I do love resource management and idlers. This one was very clever, both with the stacking resource production, and also having to choose if you're going to spend time with what you already know you have, or try to find new instances of the things you've buffed. I'll be back to this one after the Jam rating period is over to try to get all the stars. Great job and great scope!

>> choose ... to spend time with what you already know you have, or try to find ... things you've buffed

I have gotten some feedback that it doesn't make sense to be offered buffs for unexplored land-types, but I think it encourages exploration. I will have to think more on this as I develop more bonus-types.

Submitted

I think another way to encourage exploration in those cases would be to make it obvious that some of the later land types offer more tribute per resource. Like if I've already buffed the heck out of my forest and don't realize that later on the mines will give me double that if I buff it just as much, I might never care to go for the mines. But knowing that, I'd take the mine buff early then try to rush it. Maybe a different background color or something on those buffs (unless there already is and I just missed that!)

Sick game, great job covering the scope really well! Fun and addictive!

Really cool! You've created a nice setup that would've taken a lot of art effort to pull out and have simplified beautifully. Loved the art, and the game is engaging!

A simple but nice concept, had to figure out what the point was at first though, or how to get more villagers to get more resources. But once you have some boosts going it plays nicely!

Developer

Thank you for playing and especially for the feedback!

Only mildly addictive ;-)
There are certainly some things that I'd like to change, but it's fine tuning things like being able to click my mouse to unpause or making sure the upgrades match terrains that are already unlocked. There were also things that weren't obvious to me at first (like mushrooms being worth more) but those discoveries were part of the fun.

Great game! I'd play it again

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I think a more obvious unpause-with-mouse would be good (aside from the pause/play button up top) and I hear you on the building-offers matching discovered terrain.

>> those discoveries were part of the fun
This was the biggest design decision I made. I had a 'glossary' panel planned that showed all possible upgrades, bonuses, resource values, etc., but opted for the 'discovery' feel (and it saved time for the jam submission).

Loosely reminds me of Catan. Very simple but it feels big.

This game is amazing! Such a simple concept but very well executed, got hooked instantly. My only small nitpick is that it felt strange getting upgrades for tiles I have not discovered yet, felt like I was blindly picking in the beginning and hoping to get those types of tiles. Other than that, very well done! Will play it more in the future for sure, looking forward to updates. :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Good note on the building unlocks for unrevealed terrain. I had considered it, but put it lower on the list and didn't get to it before the deadline. I have big plans for all available bonuses!

Please make this into a game for mobile. This is the perfect game for those times when you need to kill 5-10 minutes. Everything about this is great, save for the tiny fonts. I'm old so +1 for adjustable UIs.

Very much enjoyed playing this. Definitely in my Top 3 of this jam.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I hear you on the fonts - and on being old! I'll increase those and look into an "old-guy" setting.
