I enjoyed this one a lot!
Only problem is that movement doesn't feel great, especially jumping, which is too floaty.
Still, great game!
Thanks for the feedback - we kind of wanted to give the player a lot of mobility because the game was challenging. Buuuut we should probably have tuned it a bit down when we implemented the harpoon gun.
Super fun, this feels great to play which is really an accomplishment for a game jam game! The visuals and sound design are great as well, and the variety of guns and enemies keeps the game interesting! My one issue with the movement is that the jumping feels a bit floaty - perhaps a higher gravity and higher jump speed would help with this, to get the same height but in a slightly shorter time.
Thanks! Totally fair feedback on the floatyness :-)
Ooh, really love the presentation here. And throwing and chasing the die to get a new gun feels good. Harpoon seems pretty bad though, what is the strategy with that one?
The harpoon is sort of a grapplehook entirely different from the other guns. it is really good for getting to the other side of the map quick if you jump just as it connects. Good for chasing treasures or accidentally putting yourself in the middle of an enemy death blob.
Thank you - glad you like it.
The main idea behind the harpoon was to give some breathing room and use it to quickly get a few treasure chests around the level.
This is a lot of fun, love the arcade shooter feeling and the "gun game" style of gameplay.
Thank you so much - glad to hear you liked it. Honestly never even considered the fact that its a gun game :P
