Game looks great and the mechanic is interesting! I felt like the character movement was a bit slow. I also did not enjoy having to restart after dying, I think failure could have been a little bit more forgiving.
Great work overall!

Cool concept! This is a really cool game, and I love the art! The polish is amazing! Here's a suggestion: maybe make the player less floaty by making the gravity higher? Keep up the good work mate :)
I loved the upgrade concept through the dice. This game was pretty fun to play through. Art style was consistent and wonderful. I couldn't get enough of that dice roll animation every time I rolled. Hit boxes were a little weird at one point, but most of the game was pretty smooth. This was really fun. Might keep this one on my desktop. Excellent work. ( ᵔ ᴗ ᵔ )
That's a cute style and nice palette! I'd call it "Something Undertale-like, only with neat drawings" :D
You have a cool and smooth camera work but I felt betrayed when I jumped off a cliff and landed on an enemy which I didn't see :D
I think you could reposition camera to show upper platforms more to show player that they could reach it with their jump.
Also, you could add some UI with "exiting" from stations and chests. I pressed everything and then I figured out that I needed "Escape".
I suppose gml error in the end at the hitbox_dicer_obj was the opportunity to exit from the game :D
Maybe I was trying to be too practical and trying to minimize the failures by getting the whole dice together, and then I would already roll myself whatever I needed.
I really liked the style and music of the game. Your music was enjoyable and didn't bore me at all, well done!
Hey thanks for your detailed feedback. The cliff jump was a little unfair trap that i wanted to implement, but i undestand your point about that xD. And yeah the error at the end really made me sad. I recogniced it after my submission and it really made me mad. I already fixed the Bug in the newest version, but the jam version is buggy until you enter the Boss. I made the Boss in the last 30 min. I even tested the Boss, but i couldnt test the whole game at the end. By that the game had some errors by switching rooms. But congratulations you were the first one who made it so far i guess xD. I am really happy for that thanks! The idea with the quit button for the chests and stations is by the way a brilliant idea i didnt think about.
Liked the concept, art and music in this one! I also appreciated the shown controls in-game. As others have already mentioned, the dice mechanic feels redundant. Besides that, an aerial attack would have been great to deal with spideys. I think the the camera transition to next area could happen sooner without you getting too near the edge of the sceen. That way you don't have to dive in in to the unknown, possibly risking getting hit by moving enemies.
The game window didn't quite fit my screen and the edges of it got hidden. Options to change its size would be cool.
Good stuff!
i like the art a lot, nice colour palette
though i think the double outline on the character was not that necessary because from what i saw the player is never on a bright background.
one thing that probably really affected the amount of ratings you got is the fact that there was no way to play your game other than running the installer. it adds a lot of friction for something that should be as frictionless as it can. if it's possible, i would recommend making a web build next time.
i liked the mechanic and being able to collect and place the dice items, but they didn't seem extra important to the gameplay, so the game might not fit the theme very well.
i feel like making the player movement more fluid and enabling players to attack midair would've been a good decision.
i was going to complain about the movement speed but once i got the upgrade it actually made sense that it was slow, it added an incentive to upgrade it in the first place.
nice camera movement
cool enemies
quite the good tutorial!
good job!
Thanks for the detailed feedback! I used the outline of the player to highlight some areas on the body that would’ve been gone without the outline. Here is a little comparison i made:
In my Opinion it fits well but i somehow understand your point asswell, because for some parts of the body it seems too much and if you would switch to the bright outline instead of dark like in the picture the arms would disappear.
If I could I would also upload a Web build, but sadly I only have a license for my engine, that allows me to export for windows, mac and linux. I also added a Zip-package for those, who prefer the Zip over the Installer.
I totally agree that the gamble mechanic is optional and if i had more time i would create areas that only could be done with a specific piece… But i had time problems, so that i couldn’t make it until the dead line. The jump attack is also a idea that is nice, but somehow i forgot to implement it and it would fit pretty well!
Great art and visuals. has alot of potential for a full release. Great entry:)
Idea with gambling is nice, but it seems useless for this game. You don't need either deal more damage or jump higher or have more health. The game should have segments, where those abilities will make game easier.
Yes i totally agree. I wanted to implement specific areas for the pieces, but i didn’t make it because of time problems. These segments would’ve cost me so much time, because i would need to build a segment for every piece that you can find, because of the randomness in the game. I tried fixing the use of the pieces by giving the player the ability to upgrade them to maybe kill the enemies faster. My Idea was to motivate the player to gamble to level up your stats, but taking the risk to lose your current effect. But ik Jumpspeed is pretty boring xD. But i hope you had some fun playing my game and thanks for the feedback! :)
Cool game nice music and art quite fun to play. The rolling mechanic wasn't really too important to the gameplay tho.
Really fun game! The art was amazing and the way the dice was used was great as well! The player did feel a little uncomfortable at times because you had a lot of acceleration, but no deceleration.
