"Press p to play." I accidentally clicked. The game closed. Damn, you must really want me to press P!

What a strange game. It feels like the video game equivalent of modern art.

The good:

  • It works!
  • I had fun! It felt a bit like DOOM, with strafing and moving back and forth.
  • You made an FPS in 50 hours! That's impressive!

The bad:

  • I didn't have any audio.
  • You can literally just sprint past enemies.
  • It's a bit short considering the simplicity of the rooms.

The weird:

  • Enemies spawn when I enter the room, not before. So I would walk in, enemies would spawn, I would be surprised, I would walk out.
  • You could have gotten stock explosions or something. But parts of the game are hand-drawn, some are placeholder art. It feels very modern-art, very Jackson Pollock.

It's a neat little game. Thanks for participating. I hope we'll see you at the next game jam!

Dam bro thanks for playing my game : ). I just wanna quickly talk about the bad and the weird sections real quick.

"I didn't have any audio" - yea i didn't have time to implement any audio since it took me way to long to make the levels.

"you literally just sprint past the enemies" - so while i was working on the game i wanted to implement more movement tech and make it so you could either kill the enemies or just run to the exit.

"It's a bit short considering the simplicity of the rooms." - yea i wanted initially to make 5 levels but i only had the time to make 3 so i was quick to make most of the random generation there would have been a couple more levels.

"Enemies spawn when i enter the room, not before. So i would walk in, enemies would spawn, i would be surprised, I would walk out." - so the reason for that is because well if i spawned the enemies at the very start of the game they would behave weridly were the would just float to you from under the map so this is the reason they spawn as you enter the room.

""Press p to play." I accidentally clicked. The game closed. Damn, you must really want me to press P!" - yea for some reason i couldn't get the start button to work so i just said "fuck it" and changed it.

So yea thanks for playing (again). I hope i was able to clear some things  up.

Wacky. I'd like to see some other means of getting around enemies, for strategizing around the N.E.R.F. gun gifted by RNGsus. I'm a fan of the pencil-drawn gun and whatnot.

First of all, let me say that I really enjoyed playing your game and even managed to finish it. Which I cant say about most games I've played so far.

The movement feels great and I liked the handpainted art style a lot.

However, I would recommend a crosshair when making a shooter. Makes it a lot easier to hit enemies.

Also my biggest struggle was the stairs in the second level as they could be a bit buggy and in a perfect world your art style would have covered the whole game. A consistent art style is always really important for a clear visual style.

But I think you can really be proud at your game, definitely one of the better ones!

Bro thanks for playing for playing my game and yea i kinda forgot to add a crosshair until like the second when i was already like posting the game and stuff😄 also yea i can gree that the stars are beuggy aš all hell that's į added jumping because for personally it would have been a whole lot simple than making like walking up the stars smoother. But thanks for playing : D

This apparently just appeared on the list! So, I'll be the first to rate it. Pretty good! Don't usually see an FPS at a game jam
