How does your game fit the theme?
You roll dice, albeit not always 6 sided. Lots more work to be done on the game to actually be considered even a demo...

Did your team create the vast majority of the art during the 48 hours?

No

We used pre-existing art

Did your team create the vast majority of the music during the 48 hours?

The demo/prototype has been updated. Now you can actually play it! Link: https://esonstudio.itch.io/test
The idea behind the game has drastically evolved and a new game engine will be used. This means it will take a while for the next update, but we are committed to making a great game out of this little project.

Here is the missing tutorial I didn't quite had the time to put in the game >.<

There are 3 type of Dice: Thief, Numbers & Slime dice (Slime dice is not available at the beginning until certain conditions are met)

Thief dice sides (on checking realized none of these work at the moment):
1.Sight (eye icon) & 2.Blind (closed eye) - adds/removes vision to a character, this is supposed to be connected to a stealth mechanic, which is not fully implemented yet :/
3.Sneak (running stickman with red bandanna) - increases stealth or attempts sneak past enemy
4.Steal & 5.Borrow (red gloved hand in pocked or with gold in hand) - at the moment takes the target's dice/actions
6.Defend - should remove status effects, also not implemented :[

Normal/Numbered dice - regular 6 sided dice from 1 to 6 numbers. Slashes the enemy based on the number rolled.
Player should have been able to combo this basic dice with another for stronger effects, however because of a condition mistake during coping commands this doesn't work at the moment.

Slime dice (sadly not usable in this version of the game) sides:
Shoot slime; Shield; Heal/Regrow; Absorb; Imitate shape

P.S.
I am guessing anyone should be able to upload the game files to Construct 3 and edit, you might even be able to figure out where the mistakes are. Either way I will put an updated version by the end of the week where everything actually works and an explanation chart of each icon at the very least. I know it won't really count as an entry to the Game Jam at that point, but I like the idea of this game and plan to continue developing it on a different game engine.

Hi! I downloaded your game but I can't figure out how to start it

Developer

Uhhh... how do I say this... Basically I missed a button when uploading the game and instead of "Downloadable" I should have selected "Play from browser".
What you can do: Technically you can upload the game in itch.io as your own project (maybe don't publish it to the public, but keep it as a draft) and you can play it in browser. Here is a tutorial I found that should explain each step https://www.construct.net/en/tutorials/publish-c2c3-html5-game-itch-2363/page-3. Really sorry for the mess... also will update the page now with explanation of what works in the game at the moment, so people are not completely lost.

OK, I've uploaded it properly so it is easier for people to try out the game. I haven't made any changes to this version of the game, but understandably I don't expect my submission to be considered in the competition. Still thanks for trying it out! Link: https://esonstudio.itch.io/test

Thanksf for the reply! I tried out your game but I couldn't really do anything. I'm not reall sure how to play it haha. I tried rolling the dice and moving the results into the three circles, but once they were filled, I couldn't take actions or roll again. The art is great, though!
