When I saw a railgun at the first time, I decided that this is a sword and tried to get into a melee combat :D
the game is pure fun - nice job!
Nice game, i enjoyed it
The enemy designs sure were something. Cocktails were a pain to deal with.
I liked that a few of the weapons required the use of the 'alterative fire'. Shotgun needing pumped and firing for pistols. I would have liked if all the weapons had an alt fire but gamejam deadlines so it is fine :)
That's an interesting idea, we actually never planned for all weapons to have an alt fire function, we just ended up doing it to make them feel more distinct.
Right now I can actually think of a couple of ideas for the machinegun and railgun, but yeah it'd been impossible to put them in with the deadline lol
Thanks for the feedback :)
I love the numerous enemy variations and the idea of different weapons that are randomly switched after a certain time.
But since the weapons are all played differently, I missed more feedback when the weapon change occur and which weapon I equipped. Every time I had to check which weapon I have equipped and then a quarter of the time for the next weapon change was already over. The bar at the top didn't help much as the action is directed towards the middle of the screen. Maybe it would have helped to slow down the time to the next weapon change.
Nonetheless, i enjoyed the time playing this game. Good job.
It's basically Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas The Game, great style and use of randomness
the dude looks like christian bale
haha i love the buff dice! i would recommend making the enemy projectiles a bit slower to let the player react, but awesome work!
