awesome submission. It's a novel mechanic but it works well

Solid entry! The dice rolling mechanic is really interesting. I feel like the audio is a bit lacking. Make it louder, have some punch! Plus the music is a banger, don't leave it in the background! It lacks a bit of feedback when getting hit too...

Very good entry overall, nice job on making that game in 2 days!

I love the doom aesthetic and strafey combat! This game could definitely be expanded to include more weapons and enemies!

Developer

Thanks! I am definetly thinking about expanding upon it!

It's a really cool idea having your gun affected by dice rolls like this, and I think there's a lot of design space for multiple weapons (not just a shotgun). Like maybe you have a machine gun that rolls for how many shots are in a burst instead of spread.

I do think the two dice should be balanced rather than completely random, however. Like maybe they always add up to 7, so if you roll a 1 on ammo you get 6 for spread. It felt very fun getting two sixes and not fun getting two ones.

Thanks! I really wanted to do more with weapon variety like having a massive one shot kill for snake eyes. But time got the better of me.
