You know what? Although the game is broken, I think the concept is great, so ironically, I am going to give you a good mark for the creativity criterion! I am serious, I thought it was a good idea the moment I read the description.

Too bad you could not implement it properly… ._. I even get the feel of the movement and how funny it would have been to collide with that grey cube fiend. I am annoyed at how to evaluate the game, since I know this would be funny and pleasant, but the complete realization is not there. ._. I guess I will take the middle route for enjoyability.

I still have some remarks on your partial build!

  1. (I should really copy-paste this or put some hyperlink, now, because it comes up so frequently. XD) You used the WASD keys, but only for QWERTY-layout keyboards; this translates as ‘your’ ZQSD in ‘my’ AZERTY-layout keyboard. You can program so that the physical locations of the key be taken into account instead of their symbolic values. I see you also enabled the arrow keys, which can be a fine replacement.
  2. The direction of the die is independent on the close camera, which seems rather impractical; I think it would be better to either make the direction system somewhat aligned with the camera’s coordinate system, or push the camera way back, to get a wider view of the action.
  3. I like the 2D health bar, and how the die’s 2 was apparently turned horizontally to look like eyes (I think!). :)

You are asking on the game page if anyone finds the game interesting: I do! :) Now, do not disrupt your priorities just because I said this; do what you feel is right, and only take my opinion as some feedback about the game’s potential.

Hey, I just found this comment. Thank you for commenting on this project (it wasn't really popular with how uncompleted it was). I will try to take these comments to heart for future project. I am sad to say this, but the project has been cancaled (This project wasn't meant to be continued to work on.) Thank you for taking time of your day to look into my project.

If you are for some reason still willing to want to play my games, then I have a fully, completed project that I think you will enjoy. It is about you helping a little man from Rome fixing the space time continuum. Everything is broken and has to be fixed fast, otherwise, he will be frozen like the environment around him.  The main machanic in this game is that the little man doesn't have time to listen to your yelling of "STOOOOP!!!!". He just keeps running on until he stops. You can only tell him to go left or right.

That is the concept of the game, and It is fully available to the public. It needs some spiffing up and some polish, but It is my first project released to the public that I am serious about. So, if you are still interested, here is the link:

Hello! Thanks for the answer. :)

I am sad to say this, but the project has been cancaled (This project wasn't meant to be continued to work on.)

Do not be sad if you meant it that way. ;) By the way, I just read yesterday the creator of Patrick’s Parabox saying that he suddenly reused a 4-year-old left out project, so… you never know.

It is about you helping a little man from Rome fixing the space time continuum.

I like games about time in general. :) (I have one such game jam game that I still need to enhance — as all the others! —, in case you are interested too, by the way.)

I have several things to do, but I will take a look! :) Writing it down in my (ginormous) list.

Thank you

I will check out your game indeed, as It is very much guaranteed that It will be better than mine! (don't feel bad, I am very new, I am expecting everything to be bad the first few games).

(I almost missed your answer! Too many things to do and too many answers to check, this is mayhem! XD)

Actually, the game I refer to (Blocage entropique / Entropy Block) may be the most ‘playable’ and complete one at the moment, I can point to it without being ashamed — if you feel fine with my Programmer Art©, but I do. ;)) Ironically, the very first game I published (La Faim d’Elvis) is also playable and feels complete (although it can be visually confusing, but this is also linked to the Thumby constraint). On the contrary, I have just published a new game jam game (Clock Work), and this one is really broken; fixing it is a top priority!

But testing and reviewing other games takes me time. :o I still have yours in my list, rest assured I will play it!

Thank you :)
