How does your game fit the theme?
It's... a cube. like a dice. It randomises the sides you can't see, so the sides are infinite.

Cute concept and art. Sometimes moving from one cube face to another goes in the opposite direction to the player is moving and, if the camera is zoomed in, this can be very disorienting.

A little poetic game, it feels good!

The submission is  really cute and pleasing. I wish there was more to it... but i can understand getting this in place must have been quite challenging in the time frame. Really good job!

Please do checkout our game too :))

I love the little environment you've created here. It sort of makes me think it could be a little dream sequence in a larger project. The music is beautiful, and the sound effect for when the surface rotates is really satisfying. The character art is really cute as well, and I like how the 2d animations work within the 3d space. You have a good foundation here to build something on top of, which is always the best outcome of a jam, in my opinion.

A big congratulations for getting a playable submission submitted for the first time after 3 years of trying. That is no small feat, and I hope you feel a sense of pride for that accomplishment. You really earned it!

Nice Job! Congrats on finishing! I liked the character and the mood set by the music!

Nothing wrong with a little walking simulator, gj on finishing it! :)

Great job with this game! and congratulations on finishing a jam game! The art in this game is great and the movement feels very smooth. Sometimes when I walk off the edge whilst pressing two buttons the animations become a bit janky, but other than that it is a great game!

Cool game! The character art is amazing, and I found the game to be very relaxing. I do agree with Buttercream Dream that the coins could be a bit bigger.

Great job! I really liked this cute game. You did a great job with the art on the character and I love the choice of music to go along with the relaxing experience. It was cool just to explore a bit. I did find there were some bugs with how the cube rotated sometimes/what face I would move onto. But overall great job and congrats on your first submitted game!!

The game was cute, but the coins could have been a lot bigger to be noticable. Even zoomed in I had a hard time seeing it. - Kaylee

Good point! Thanks for the feedback and for playing!

Sadly my mouse wheel is broken so I maybe loosing a huge part of the game but it was still really cute. I feel like you could do much more with it. I don t know what though

I realise you didn't have enough time to build a lot more substance out of this, but honestly I was genuinely compelled by what was here. Making a sort of diorama-world on the surface of a die and letting the player explore is a nice twist on the theme, and I think that's helped here by the visuals, which really nail that kind of [gestures wildly] natural, hinterland, hiking feel. I think you could build a full game of this concept and feel. A really great effort!

Thank you! I'm glad to hear you found the feel of the game appealing, it's the part of the game I'm most pleased with how it turned out. I'm hoping to update the game after the jam, and who knows, maybe I'll build it into something a little more substantial later on!

Relaxing atmosphere, and good job on finishing your game after the three years! My feedback would be to tune the sounds down a bit, as the collection noise was quite high pitched.

Developer

Thanks! That's a good point about the sounds, I tweaked them when I put them in the game but my choice might not work great for everyone. I'll look into putting some options in when I update the game after the jam.

Cute and relaxing.

It’s nice but I think I missed something because I don’t know what to do with what I’m gathering.

Developer(+1)

Unfortunately there isn't anything you're missing, I didn't have enough time to add much more than just picking up things. Thank you for playing though!

Love the little character! This has the potential to be a relaxing little collect-a-thon.

Developer

Thank you!

Really loved the art & general aesthetics! I t was very relaxing to play.

You mentioned having issues with the camera, but I would have liked being close to things to appreciate the art more.

Cute game, with cute character and cute music.

It's a shame the main idea (moving on a dice) is not used to its full potential.
Since you are sometimes warped on a random face, a map would also be nice (or more memorable landmarks).

Since there is no UI, it's impossible to know how many items you have collected or how many you still need to collect.
It also doesn't help that some are hidden under the rocks/trees.

Overall, enjoyed the concept. Wish it went further with it.

Developer

Thanks for playing, and for the feedback :) Yeah, I couldn't get a few of the mechanics like the rolling working consistently in time, and the camera cuts off the UI. I'm just glad it runs at all. Lots to improve on haha.

Don't we all XD
That's the game jam spirit !

Well done finishing it ;)
